Mark Warburton was a complete disaster.  The 4-3-3 is a solid formation but the excessive passing was ridiculous.  Passing it out from corners at every opportunity rather than taking advantage of a set-piece.  Asking the Keeper to pass it out from the back at all times resulted in opposition teams sitting right up the park on our back line.  Even when we did get the ball up to our attackers we weren't direct at all and would just pass from side to side constantly.  Warburton was all about possession for possessions sake.  Also, the signings of Mark Warburton were a calamity.  The amount of players he brought to this club that failed is staggering.  To my mind the only real success has been Tavernier.  We made some money on Windass and Halliday has improved this season but who else has done a job for us?  Kiernan, Zelalem, Dominic Ball, Harry Forrester, Billy King, MOH, Hodson, Rossiter, Kranjcar, Barton, Crooks, Dodoo, Garner, Senderos, etc.  He couldn't spot a player to save his life.  He had his subs written down on paper the night before all three of which were to come on at the 60 minute mark.  Barton was completely right about him, this was a guy that refused to change his philosophy even when it obviously wasn't working and the mismanagement of the player himself an embarrassment.  If Warburton's team were down 3-0 at half-time he would sent them out to play the exact same way during the second half such was his stubbornness.
