Memory ain’t what it was ,So can’t recreate the whole thing .

Tarrier wanting Saturdays ticket refunded so he can buy an emergency bag of cans is one highlight .Also Humza falling off his scooter thrown in for good measure

    Nope. Read it.

Dessers has hit 43 shots in the SPFL so far this season. 2 hit the woodwork, 26 were on target and he’s scored 10 (ie 23% of his shots have resulted in goals)

Haaland had a strike rate of 34% in the EPL last season when he scored 36 goals from 106 shots.

If we held Dessers accountable to Haaland’s conversion rate then he should be on 15 in the SPFL by now.

So he’s 5 short of where he should be if we’re going to compare him statistically to the most prolific striker ever to have played in the Premiership.

Closer to home, Shankland has scored 17 goals in the SPFL this season,  having taken 68 shots (ie 25%) and played 878 more minutes of football than Dessers.

If Dessers matched Shankland he’d have scored 11 (rounded up from 10.75). Yet folk think Shankland is infinitely better than Dessers.

What does Shankland do when he misses with 75% of his shots? Is he squandering them?  If he came to Rangers would his similar miss rate to Dessers be accepted?

The point is Dessers isn’t ‘squandering’ shots any more than Shankland and if he’s squandering more chances than Shankland it’s because he’s creating more chances to actually squander.

Don’t think it’s changed much over the years .But between 1 in 3 and 1 in 4 is about the norm across the board for a strike rate .
Dessers for me isn’t his goal scoring that’s his problem .It’s the silly mistakes he does make too many .

EPL hasn't been great for football in general but certainly hasn't helped the game here but there are other things far more responsible for the state of the game today.

The custodians of the game, the SFA, the SFL, SPL, SPFL, chairmen, managers, chief executives, directors of football, youth coaches etc have done far more damage over the past 30/40 years than the EPL done to us.

Back when they first signed the big deal with The Championship SPL bosses should have been chapping the door at Sky for a comparable deal .They were showing 2 championship games a week then and 1 SPL .Population size should never have been allowed to be a factor when viewer figures for our games and the tarries games dwarf what they get for many Premier League games never mind championship games .

I can remember not long after and it was Walter Smith commenting on it that in the space of a year the SPL lost  over 70 pros to lower league teams in England .They were replaced by players from lower league teams in England that were of a lesser quality .Coupled with jumping in a failed Setanta project it caused huge damage to our league that we will probably never recover from .

It's definitely an issue - as soon as an EPL club shows interest in a player their value (and wages) just instantly skyrocket as the selling club knows the EPL clubs have silly money to burn. That's one good thing that may come from the FFP/Profit and Sustainability crap, the English clubs are gonna have to start being a bit more prudent with their spending - we've already seen that in the January window, lowest expenditure in years.

Benfica,Porto and Ajax haven’t half benefitted over the last few years from clubs spending massive amounts ,Folk will say ,we should also be trying to do the same .Not so easy when we are right next to the EPL where any young player raises eyebrows and scooped up before they get anywhere near a first team .

On Boyle’s penalty, there was more contact with that than there was when we got our goal at Ibrox chopped off when Dessers robbed their cb diddy of the ball.

slight contact going sellik’s way when need arises.

Don’t know if the yellow card for “diving” would override the need for a VAR pen check .They look at clear and obvious errors but not for yellow cards .

First one is a foul anywhere else on the park, so it's a penalty. Second one I'm not sure about. I haven't seen a great angle but looks like Kyogo gets his shot off clean and that the contact may be outside the box.

The biggest error is Boyle not being given a penalty.

That’s the big problem ,3 penalty shouts none stonewallers .2 given to one side and the other one denied .

There a pic online of the free kick where they is a tarrier offside when the free kick is taken that led to the foul too .

If we lose the title it will be because of the decisions this year.

Sutton and his merry band of wanks have been allowed to trot out this stupid penalty narrative.

Sky coverage has become a farce. Penalty claims and red card claims for Hibs not even shown a replay.

    Club needs to do something

We can only say anything in games that we are actually involved in .

Some people aren’t built for a title race

There really shouldn’t be any race .We should be well clear .

Time Penalty to soap dodgers bastards started being the chant of choice .

I know, couldnae believe when I read earlier Collum was Ref this Saturday.

That cheating rat cunt should be nowhere near our games.

It started off with strong words from our club, then descended into the "we will not be found wanting" shite specky Robertson used to come out with.

Gollum gives us a contentious throw in in the last 5’mins when we are 4 nil up and his cheating bastard reputation will disappear 😉

  11. Proper modern style manager ,Has a blueprint of how he wants the the whole football part of the club to progress .

Often looked at other clubs from leagues at our level and watched them unearth a young gem from somewhere ,Apart from Morelos in recent times we never do that ,Reckon we just got really lucky with Bassey .Always go for an early 20s type that’s lost their way and try and turn things round .Almost never happens .

Could be argued that in our 2 horse race league we can’t risk inexperienced players as every game is must win .But this guy looks like he could have the man management qualities to nurse young players through to the next level .I know it won’t happen every time but if he can get a 50pc strike rate turning them into 20m plus player then I think most of us would be pretty pleased .
