Didn't manage to see the game and thank fuck, as soon as I seen the lineup I knew it was a difficult one.
We've went from playing 2 wingers all last season to once or twice so far this season and then only one winger to absolutely none today.
Has to be the wrong call from the manager , to me that says he was scared.......such a disappointing result caused by over confidence and poor selection today.

Never heard of the place but if it was karpathosis I could have sent you to a great wee hotel complex to watch the game. Know the owner personally and top dude

This scenario just highlights the problem with these fucking English clubs and SKY billions.
They are allowed to buy tons of players, shove them on excellent wages and they are no where near the first team. Kent is a perfect example of that.
A guy who could be doing a job at a number of clubs in the UK at a good level and some excellent clubs but he is priced out the market because EPL teams can throw money about with no intention of actually introducing the majority of the people they sign.......can afford to speculate and then demand high sums of money for basically reserve and youth players but other clubs can't afford it due to not having access to multi billion pound TV deals.
It's a joke and something should be done about it.

Should be the governing body, a simple cap on the number of players these teams can buy and loan out would help put a stop to it.
Just the other season Chelsea had over 35 players out on loan to various clubs , that's shocking.

Yeah, such a cool and highly respected guy to have as  Manager.
So grateful that mcinnes bottled it. We could be firing the ball  70 yards to curtis main and some other big hammer thrower. 
As it is we've brought in  class acts like Aribo to add to existing quality Tav, big buff etc.  still a work in progress but improving each transfer window

Obviously delighted that the team progress to the next round and I thought we had been looking sharp in the friendly games but I can't help but feel a little nervous over our creative ability in the wide areas. Jones looks quick but no where near as good as either Candeias or Kent. 
Ojo looks as if he will be dangerous and I'm not sure how much game time Hastie will get but it's looking likely only one wide player will be playing in the games. Every team we face will no doubt have 10 behind the ball and our excellent midfield need those runners put wide to open things up.........do we need a little more quality in the wide areas or am I just over worrying things here ?
 
I'm excited for the new season but just wonder about that creative spark in the teams wide areas.

Going forward in the wide areas we look very poor, and don’t even get me started on our corners. 

That's my worry, dont get me wrong I think we are looking smart in midfield as good as we have in a long time and the defence looks pretty solid. It's the wide areas that gives me concern as that's integral to how Stevie G sets out the team to play. 
This season looks like we will be playing with only one wide man in a number of games and I think that will really effect our ability to create, score and win games .........which is why we need that extra quality in the wide areas.

When you are talking about being closer to winning the league than last season you are obviously going to mention players you've lost from last season, deary me

Everyone entitled to their opinions but I can't understand why some of us slate him.
Tav is without doubt our best right back since Gary Stevens, and that was a long time ago.

Based on what ?
Sure they play in a league that is far superior and despite the financial gap thanks to SKY TV there has always been a gap in standard between our leagues.....granted the gulf was not as vast prior to SKY TV.
Liverpool are obviously a far better team thanks to where they are playing but I can't see how they are a bigger club.  I concede that they are now very well known world wide thanks again to massive TV exposure but who cares.
For their entire existence they have had a stadium that has been vastly smaller than ours......the reason for that is simple , the size of support. Only in the last few years have they expanded their stadium, like every other EPL club has been able to thanks yet again to TV.
I simply can't accept they are a bigger club than we are. Almost all the attendance records for Europe are held within Scotland and we hold a number of them despite playing in a weaker league , having inferior players and also playing god awful teams like Ross County, Thistle and so on.......that's the reason we are a bigger club. Finance or quality of squad does not determine that, expectation, loyalty and standards are what does that and we are right at the top.
 

Watched in a few sweet places but the best has to be very recent.......was on a caribbean cruise in November there and had purchased the WiFi onboard .
Watched us thump 7 past Motherwell in the Atlantic, lying on top deck with the sun blazing down, beer in one hand, cocktail in the other and phone resting on the lounger with the red white and blue kicking ass.

The fact is we are not supposed to do it, harmless say most people. I remember at St Johnstone before Christmas wee Alfredo scored and the same thing happened, the fans jumped the barrier........30 seconds later the paramedics had to come and carry a small child as he was basically trampled to the ground with the over exuberant adults jumping the fence.
 
I love passion in the game but anything that paints our great club in a bad light must be stamped out and this paints us in a bad light and can potentially lead to action taken against the club.
