Something that struck me when watching the game today. A couple of times the cameras panned in to the UFA fans and showed a girl sitting with a Steven Gerrard banner dotted with love hearts, obviously a wee soft spot for our manager. Another shot had a you boy holding up a banner in English asking for an autograph from Steven Gerrard. We have pulled of a master stroke getting this guy into our club, he is a global brand and even in some unknown area of Russia he has admirers - take a bow son and thanks for all your efforts so far.

If they were playing in a tiddlywinks tournament, I'd still never want these cunts to win.  Fail to qualify after our heroic performance, their heads will be down on Sunday.  No matter who they play I ALWAYS WANT THEM TO LOSE, no exceptions

The main reason seems to be it would tire them out.  
If they go through they stay in Europe, keeps their fans happy for now, generates them a lot of money, gives them a good chance of one or two glamour ties, and an opportunity for their players to impress in Europe. 
If they go out they lose the money, lose any chance of a glamour game for the season, and probably cause their players to lose interest, some might even want away.
And of course their fans would go ballistic putting more pressure on their team, manager and the club itself. 
They would have fewer games,but the attendance would plummet in those they had.
 
Anyone still want them to go through ? I certainly don't. 

He fucked up today but has played a big part in our quest to get to the Europa League group stages - a swift boot in the baws for him from Stevie G and then we all move on ?

Love hearing Mr Gerrard talk about us.  You can tell every word of it comes from the heart and any player should be willing to run through brick walls for a manager like him.
 
We, as a fan base, need to show understanding and patience on the days when things don’t go our way as it’s clear he’s building a team of which we can all be proud, and we’re probably 2 or 3 steps ahead of where we could have dreamed of being so early in the season.  
It’s potential for now, but there’s signs of huge improvements in a ridiculously short period of time which should give us all optimism

Boss Steven Gerrard has admitted his and the player's frustration at the unwelcome development ahead of a crucial double-header, starting with a showdown with the Russians on Thursday.

Wow, somebody has been busy ???? When I posted that comment back in April, he was crap along with the rest of the team. I would  have been happy to have seen the lot of them punted. Different season, different manager, different player mentality - fucking delighted and Morelos is like a new signing. Quoting posts back from when we were rock bottom last season is a little bit odd and attention seeking. If someone posted these comments this season, fair enough, but get a grip FFS!  Football changes and so do opinions, deal with it mate!
