There's 2 possible reasons for this, as you are correct, there is no obvious reason, given there current position of strength, to keep this going.
1 - something has spooked them and they are trying to get ahead of it
2 - they know something nobody else does and want it exposed
3- they are bitter twisted fucks to whom logic doesn't apply and we are wasting time trying to apply rational thinking to their obsession

I'd expect the board to demand why they have a compliance officer investigating Rangers on a Uefa licence when Uefa the govern body responsible for issuing said licence have already been clear on the matter. Its not their jurisdiction to investigate.
"The onus to investigate falls on UEFA's Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) and they hold the power to impose disciplinary measures if a club fails to fulfil the monitoring requirements.
Any investigation by the CFCB which leads to a guilty verdict has a limited scope of sanctions available to it, ranging from a warning to a maximum fine of €100,000. Clubs can also reach a settlement agreement with the CFCB."

You would think that.but I'm assuming you somebody with common sense
However these bastards have no shame.and with my also common sense head I'm thinking they are extremely foolish rocking the boat .with their dirty deeds about to be aired in the courts it leaves them open to full independent enquiry too
What's went on with their "separate entity" isn't in the same league as using a legal tax avoidance scheme.almost all businesses will use some form of tax avoidance but very few harbour child molesters

On paper the scum have never been in such a good position, there raking it in because of the unfair playing field they've already had. Something is spooking these cunts into rocking the boat.
Litigations heading there way might just be what's got them spooked.

My feelings are they know what's coming their way soon and can see the potential for title/ trophy stripping of their own whereby they will be further in our shadow and are attempting to balance that by this continual attack on us, while I agree about keeping our powder dry I think a subtle hint from our board just to let them know we are keeping tabs on proceedings and take note that visiting historical proceedings are apparently in the interests of sporting integrity.

Think I agree with the "powder dry", they're hurting themselves more than they're hurting us just now but if that changes, take the gloves off.
If the ball is already rolling that will finally bring justice for the abused kids then it might be prudent for Rangers to just let it fulfill its course.

I was thinking the same. I can understand their fans behaviour but i'm not sure why the club board persist in this sort of thing when as you say they are in the strongest position they have been in years, on and off the park. It lacks any sort of dignity and class and despite the bad relationship between the clubs it is very unusual for such a direct attack on one half of the Old Firm from the other. Something must have them rattled.....
I'm not sure what I think about a response. On one hand they are getting absolutely nowhere with these pointless ongoing complaints other than making themselves look ever more pathetic and desperate. To that end i'm not sure what purpose is achieved by lowering ourselves to their level. We have always been better than them in this respect.
The issue for me comes if there is a hint that the SFA are willing to go after us again...I feel we may need to keep our powder dry and counsel close to our chest until that moment. The statement from SFA mentions not going over the past, moving on and this is echoed by some other club chairman. It seems everyone is sick of it, not just us.

Well shit result but it does really bring out those that howl At the moon on here. The lack of realistic expectation about what it takes to build a team, the inability to look at a bigger picture and a lack of patience is evident.
Most on here at the start of the season only expected second, many were expecting third or fourth and imho a manager should be judged over a period of time and yet we have out rabid who almost joyfully can't wait to put the boot in every time we have a poor result and then call that support.
calling for patience on here is like asking Trump to stop tweeting nonsense - impossible. But once again I believe the corrrect course of action is to get behind the management and continue our magnificent support but I suspect the howling mob don't have that in them.

Referee ruined what could have been a decent game, gave a massive advantage to an offending side and punished us to to the point of lunacy. When you're seeing your team mates getting soft cards all round you it will totally change your attitude when going for a challenge or tracking a man. We end up sending long balls trying to cut out midfield battles and it cost us.
Between the stonewall penalty denied to gift the scum two extra points yesterday and decisions like that today what fucking chance do we have.

We need to hope that the players that he has brought in can come in and make a difference.

The sad thing is if we had an unbiased and normal national team without the fucking imbeciles we have then Scotland could of won that game. Brown again did fuckall, Griffiths scored two free kicks but looked fucking shite apart from that. Tierney was possibly the only one that warrants a chance in the national team. Celtic players was involved in all England's goals and should of done better.

Give him a chance before you start that rubbish. Once he gets his own players in then you can judge him. Even Conte couldn't make these aresholes win games.

Me too, really can't see why he's getting such a hard time. Its a bit counter intuitive to say that the paper is bias against anything Rangers then slag off a guy that claims to be pro-gers writing for said paper.
