35 Yard Dangerman reacted to westenclosure2008 in Marc crosas
Was this quoted in the press? If it was it just shows what a bunch of fucking bitter idiots are reporting within our free press. I listened to Clyde 1 the other night and a celtic fan caller (obviously phoned to talk about Rangers) kept referring to us as New Rangers and then referred to previous teams as the Rangers that is no longer. I’m pretty sure it was Alec Rae in the studio but nobody checked him. As funny as their obsession is there comes a time when we need to publicly tell them to get right to fuck. Ideally when we are holding title number 55 aloft.

35 Yard Dangerman reacted to GeeSS in Tav tonight
What???? No he wasn’t it was a first time shot in a million absolutely nothing Tav could do about it actually the goal comes from left hand side and switch to right for the finish which was unstoppable.
Every goal scored against us from the right isn’t the fault of Tav and believe it or not sometimes you just have to put your hands up and say that was a good goal !

35 Yard Dangerman reacted to GOAT in Tav tonight
Naw goat sent you a pm because you called him a mongo and a thick cunt hiding behind a computer when he’s having a conversation about fitbaw with you and you shat yourself. Now piss off. Last reply to you.

Tav offers so much in attack that you can live with his defensive shortcomings. That's what modern fullbacks are all about. They just aren't defenders by trade anymore. I couldn't name 10 complete fullbacks in the world who are good in both defence and attack, and certainly none of them is attainable for us. As for the goal, Tav can't do anything about it.
What bothers me more with Tav than suspect defending is that he tends to give the ball away cheaply. In the 2nd half, when we held onto a lead, he gave the ball away at least 2 times cheaply, which made me cringe. Both situations luckily didn't lead to anything dangerous. But especially as our captain, he shouldn't give the ball away cheaply. Sometimes risk is okay, but Tav has the chronic issue of giving it away at times where no risk is needed.
Let's hope Gerrard can work with him on this issue. Because on his day, he can single-handedly take over a game down the right wing. Defensive stability is all good, but we need difference makers like him in the attacking phase!

Absolutely 100% Tav should be where he is there. A few times I thought he was dragged about a little, but not there.
Candeias should be deeper, but Tav's greatest area of threat is in the middle. He should be covering his centre halves as he is.
I played right back at school so don't argue with me.

But he’s been schooled on Paisley and Shanks and Souness. Steeped in it and it shows.

Great moment at the end as Gerrard demonstrated real class in waiting to shake the hand of EVERY player, from both sides, as they came off. When he got to Tav, he said something to him that meant a lot to them both and there was warmth in the handshake and arm round the shoulder. Tav then moves on to McAllister for a proper hug and another wee word or two. Genuine respect and affection.
Been a long time since I’ve seen that spirit in our club.
Gentlemen, there will be challenges to be overcome and foes to be defeated but I am certain of one thing tonight - we are on our way back

Will be used as and when SG feels he can do a job. Much the same way as any other member of the squad will be wether that’s as a starter or off the bench. Actually glad he has the chance to learn and improve away from the weighty expectations being placed on him last season. Believe he will develop into a much better player because of this. Just exceptionally pleasing to see the time coming where we look at our first eleven and then the full bench and feel positive we have players capable of changing the game if called upon to come on. Been a real weakness over God knows how many seasons now.

35 Yard Dangerman got a reaction from 2nd Flute in From 2-0 to 1-1 because of poor decision making
Must admit, at half time last night I was fucking livid. Couldn't help but sit there shaking my head going "bastard man, we've fucked this here".
2nd half performance was brilliant though, a credit to everyone from the manager to the players and the support.
Almost certain we will go over there and put in the shift that will take us through.

35 Yard Dangerman got a reaction from Blumhoilann in Gerrard and Katic Press Conference
The players will fucking love Gerrard. He is still at an age where he can relate to footballers these days and vice versa.
I struggle to see why any player under Gerrard's stewardship would not be willing to go to any lengths to succeed and acheive things for him/themselves.
And if they aren't willing to do this then they are gone. Simple. This shit is happening here man I'm telling you. We are going places.

First class by both and Stevie G has a much better sense of humour than I realised. Ever since he arrived I kept saying I had been let down too often in the last few years and I was not going to get anyway excited about our new manager until at least the turn of the year, well fuck it I am binning that shite now. Let's go.
