Ibrox - 4 Oct - Rapid Wien - Support in full voice.    What a reception the team and the Manager will get eh?   The stuff of dreams and the stuff of great past memories of European nights.
Pride being restored in Rangers big time.   Well done Mr Steven Gerrard and well done each and every member of the first team squad.

I've ended up on the couch for my antics earlier on, and I could not give one solitary fuck.
All that matters is the Teddy bears are back with a vengeance.
Win on Sunday and it'll be the cells

    This is what I know........
the formation was changed to accommodate one player - lafferty
a 3-5-2 is best suited at home and not in away fixtures.
Goldson CAN play in a back three. Today just wasn't his day.
We are tired from a heavy schedule.
The squad is thin due to injuries and suspensions.
Two more signings are still needed.
    We are still undefeated.

Apology too little and too late as his true belief and behaviour  - not his modified thoughts as drafted by Motherwell's legal person - were those he uttered In the interview.
Cat is out of the bag.  Damage done.   Can't retract the words, the sentiment, his beliefs, the damage to another player he took so much delight in.   Simply can't put that back in the box or explain it away.   He is patently a person who takes complete satisfaction in any action that physically harms a Rangers player.    His colours are so nailed to the mast that no amount of attempted whitewash can conceal them.  Even whoever drafted the attempt at an apology held back which tells us that this is only a cursory attempt at trying to undo things.   It was not even an unreserved apology, nor even an apology offered in person to Rangers and to the Rangers player who was injured.    The apology is only a fig leaf exercise to try to head off some of the consequences that are surely bound to flow from the player making his incendiary comment.
Thing is though, to what extent are his words and beliefs shared by other Motherwell players?   I haven't seen any of them come out and say they completely disagree with him.
So there we have it.  In their dressing room there is at least one player who takes personal pleasure in seeing Rangers players physically abused and injured during a game.
Referee could have an even more difficult job on Sunday if that player and some of his team mates are so like minded and fired up that the result is assault in disguised as competitive challenge on Rangers players and more injuries piling up.    Wonder how many red cards will be dished out on Sunday.  Wait - modify that - I wonder how many unjustified red cards will be handed out to Rangers players as its only Rangers players that referees send off.

It was a barge not a push. Morelos reacted as he lost his balance grom being barged off the ball, there was no clear kick aimed at the player. At worst a yellow for both. It wont be rescinded though, even if we appeal. Scottish football is utterly corrupt.
The red was a scandalous decision but not the last of the day. How Arfield got booked for not reacting to Devlin (far more violent conduct than Morelos losing his balance) and Ball not get anything when giving away the penalty I'll never know.
It was appalling officiating but, sadly, it wont be the last time we are subject to these verminous creatures in black. They aren't referees by any manner of means.

Its Ashleys fault...... No Dave you signed the SD and the JD deals making that mess.
Its other supporters..... Who will love the name check.
Its the old board....... Who somehow made him not comply with stock market regulations and laws.
Its paying off old managers.... That Dave and his chums hired.
We were top scorers...... Aye Morelos is on fire right now.
Basically a big boy did it and ran away Teflon Dave is just being bullied again. He even called Ibrox delapidated in a statement ffs.
I've always said Gerrard was a great appointment but would only be half the picture. He would need to be heavily backed or he would get nowhere and leave. I was always afraid this is where it would fall down. If that happens we are back in the smelly stuff.
I'm really dismayed at these statements. Who writes them and signs them off? They are very poorly thought out, full of porkies, childlike,  and really show the club in a bad light. Somebody needs to be reviewing them and saying "ffs dave ye canny say that....."
I dunno about anyone else but im far from reassured by any of this BS. It seems aimed at creating a siege mentality when in fact our troubles are coming from the incompetence within.

This. Generally I try to see all things Rangers positively but our squad urgently needs an injection of quality with our first competitive game now less than a week away. 2 or 3 big name quality signings required.

Not entirely relevant to this thread but hey ho.
Wtf is going on with our PR, marketing & media depts  ?
After securing the new manager & the parade at Ibrox there’s been hee haw as far as I can see/hear.
Surely opportunities to positively promote & advertise the club in media outlets, radio adverts & billboards etc should be being taken especially since it’s pre season  !
I get that the strip shambles is probably holding a lot of this kind of stuff up.

What an arsehole. We aren't reacting to the result of one game. We are reacting to the fact that we have the second largest budget in the division yet are struggling to achieve 2nd place. We should be a double figure gap between us and third place.
We are also reacting to the fact that we are stuck with a youth coach and a board who take our loyalty for granted.
We are reacting to three years of mediocrity and below par managers that the board chose and a dressing room in turmoil.
We are reacting to the mess the board have left us in and not being any closer to silverware than this time last year.
    Patronising cunt!

Had an absolutely superb day with the old man at the game yesterday. From the pre match beers in the sun & heat, to the armed forces tributes, to the game itself. Was a little concerned after half an hour but once we broke the deadlock things seemed comfortable and we were largely dominant and could have scored more.
Standouts for me were Candeias, Morelos and Alves.
This is a special club and days like yesterday remind me why we make the effort. At the airport now waiting for a flight home reminiscing on a top day out

On another note, interesting interview with new DoF Mark Allen at HT on the match clip. Speaks about focusing on putting a proper scouting and recruitment process in place.
Warburton and McParland were bigged up in this regard but never delivered. The contacts book seemed limited and they didn't bring in 'Rangers' players that fit the profile of what we need.
I already see signs of that being addressed and I'm glad we have shipped most of those players out and have brought in hungry, motivated replacements. The Warburton era is well and truly over and I'm starting to get excited about the Pedro one, albeit early days.

Some players showed they could actually play, some nice stuff and when they came out in the second half looked like they were going to win 3/4-0 but that old self destruct and lack of belief kicked in and of course the referee was absolutely diabolical and it ended up a chore. Methinks keirnan was glad to get sent off, he can't get away quick enough. Deserved win though with a great confidently well taken goal, I should know, I stayed to the end to see it!

It was enjoyable at times and frustrating at times but ultimately thrilling.  A good game of football and there's nothing better than a happy ending. I'm delighted we got a deserved three points from an overall decent performance, especially after the shaggers and hertz games this week..
