I 100% agree with this but the fact is the current run of injuries we have means we’re forced to go with youth.
 
People go on about giving other youngsters a chance over seasoned pro’s, yet when one of our apparently most promising youth players gets his chance its unfair on him. King has undoubtedly been chucked in at the deep end but he hasn’t exactly “looked good with the odd mistake”, he’s not impressed me at all. Positioning, decision making, tackling, passing…all poor. Its really a measure of where we are as a club that he’s even anywhere near the first team. 

Don’t give a fuck what age he is. Trying to control a ball in front of goal with your back to the opposition. Fuck me there are no words 

i'm sorry but i just don't see it with him, he got cut open at the start of the game, twice when the ball was played into the box he took a touch instead blootering the ball to fuck, another time the ball was played inside the box so instead of trying to stop it he ended up leaving it which its not the first time he's done it and it's cost us then that slice which could have resulted in a own goal.
if this was borna or tav or even goldson making those mistakes every game we'd have 3 or 4 threads telling them they are shite and to GTF.

It's up to Alex Lowry how good a player he wants to be. 
So far, his attitude has been all wrong, as is usually the case with boys his age he'll be getting some bad advice and little challenge on his behaviour from those around him. 

You can have the all the talent in the world but a bad attitude tends to cancel this out quite quickly.

well said  i could never understand the hype around lowry  i saw a lot of the b team last season and a few this season  sure the boy has talent but as blueoz said about his talent is only when on the ball the number of games i saw him where he  disappeared for long spells   as i said he has talent but he needs better coaching and better application

I’m convinced this group of players literally decide not try anymore when they decide to chuck another manager under the bus.
Gio is useless but this squad of players have done this too many times under different people for this to be just a case of poor management 

In general play though I think we've been ok. Moved the ball reasonably quickly, Sands etc. shown far more urgency on the ball than he usually does.
Lundstram missed if not a sitter certainly a chance he should have hit the target with clear on goal from Kent's pick out.
Matondo and Colak woeful, Tav below par, the rest are doing ok.

Wonder if we’ve thought about trying to get the ball wide and cross it into the box.
Not seen us try that for a while.

Our main issue is we have a striker who doesn't hold it up, doesn't win headers in the air, and generally doesn't contribute if we don't put chances on a plate for him.
If we give him chances he'll score goals but we need more than that.
