Lots of hate towards a man who dug us out of a big hole. He's not perfect but we are in a much better place than when we were before he came back, at least IMO.

He says nothing - he gets grief.
He says Gerrard has done well and we’re on the right road - he gets grief.

Very little in his statement that I could argue with.
Another season like this one will be unacceptable but the gap between where we were and where we belong was always going to take at least two seasons. I was as optimistic, impatient and unrealistic as everyone else in hoping we could do it in one. He’s spot on in identifying the inconsistency borne of establishing a new management team and an overhaul of the playing staff.
As a first step, we have established ourselves ahead of the rest and I believe that we are no more than two or three players away from where we need to be.
Be great if King spent the weekend in the Louden singing songs and buying rounds but, although he’s a long way from perfect, we are better off for having him than we would be if he wasn’t here.

why the fuck do our players lash out at Brown? seriously ffs, whats good for the goose and all that, its fair game now, its ok to provoke and wind up, SG should be telling his players no nibble, sly kicks, abuse in his ear etc. lets play it smart. all over the cunt, and if some is going to do him, do it over the ball.

He actually did his best to help the filth yesterday, they must all love him by now he's a striker who doesn't score against them and easy to wind up for a red card.

Right enough there is no actual difference in football ability from Suarez to Morelos Great players can get away with things other players cannot.

Morelos cost us under 2 million quid. Plenty of players out there who have the same potential, it's up to our scouting network and contacts to find them.

Not one for starting topics, but get him signed.
Has talent, hates the scum, hates Brown more and seems to love fighting for Rangers.
Get Morelos away (gutted as I was a HUGE fan), as we can't continue to cover that pish, use the funds to buy Kent then get us a new striker.

James Rolle reacted to Reformation Bear in Morelos fine going to the fans
Would have been a stronger (and more valuable) contribution if Gerrard had included himself in the fine.
Why?   Whilst the player continues to prove he is a liability and does not listen to the advice / instruction he's been given, its arguably clear enough also that the management and coaching of the player has not been effective enough...…..for if it had been the player would have absorbed the strength and purpose of the message and adjusted his game to show he had learned.    Its as much a failure of management as it is a personal failing in the player.
Besides which, a fine after the event is one thing but if the player had been told beforehand that he loses money if he fails to respond to management direction / coaching would it have made any difference?
A fine is just a gesture.     If Gerrard thinks that withholding a weeks wages is somehow going to galvanise the player to mending his ways then I think he is very mistaken.   Gerrard is simply proving to the football world that he has an unmanageable player and that as a manager he does not have the skills, influence, know-how to manage an unmanageable player.   One of the 2 will have to go for next season and my bet is it will be Morelos.

I would let Morelos go, but not Tavernier, despite the mistake he was instrumental in the goal and should have had a penalty. We need three new midfielders who can score goals.

If you can't represent the club in the correct manner then stay in the fuc*ing house. Not saying this boy is guilty but seats were thrown and the culprits behaviour is not Rangers class.

James Rolle reacted to Blue Avenger in Would losing Alfredo be a blessing in disguise?
The expectation is that Alfredo will be gone this coming summer. His lifetime ambition is to play in the EPL which you couldn't blame any aspiring player for.
He would realise his goal and we would hopefully earn enough from the sale to fund several players of quality that we badly need to make a serious challenge.
The downside is we lose our best player and his goals. We lose a player who imo has much  more to come out of his locker as he matures and grows. We also lose a player with a big heart and a personality to match. Despite all the detractors bemoaning his so called "petulance" as an excuse to demonise him and the club he plays for, there is not a bad bone n his body. He just loves going out there and doing his thing. He revels in the sport he loves.
Quite simply the haters in this midden have put a target on his back and are conspiring to destroy him. Clubfoot epitomises that mentality. What is being done to Alfredo is as cynical and sinister as it is cowardly. It is imo better that he moves away as his development is now being stunted here and he would flourish and reach his full potential in a league where football is the game and not hatred. He deserves no less. We could also say, that if he does go, the haters have won, but have they?
On the football front, we appear to have a one dimensional approach as to a game plan, in get the ball to Alfredo. IMO we do not always do that too well, in being rather ponderous and predictable in too many games and many of his goals have been through his own selfless work ethic. When he isn't at it, we do struggle with alternatives and no plan B. Whilst we have witnessed some sterling performances as a team, the consistency isn't there as we all know and Alfredo cannot play well in every game even if he gets through the hammer throwers after being kicked up and down the park. He is only human after all.
So what IF no Alfredo? Firstly there are not many strikers out there of his style and tenacity that could replace him. I also doubt many would put up with the shite he has. If a target is put on a new strikers back, I hazard to guess he would indeed fall foul of many reds cards in taking retribution. This means our manager has to come with a new approach to our game plan and indeed show his worth as next season is make or break.
We need more goal scoring outlets than our main striker as the oppo are just snuff that position out for lack of a goal threat coming from elsewhere. We need options and a better quality of player to overcome the antifootball we face from many teams. We need to be more solid and less ponderous in defence. More creative in midfield. A higher tempo going forward and players that can deliver those cutting edge through balls. Better movement off the ball. Quick thinking, quick feet, better decision making. These qualities just don't exist in the current crop, but add 3/4 of that quality, the rest can fit into a system that delivers those consistent winnng performances. Given the resources, it is then up to Gerrard to develop that winnng system. Only on the sale of Alfredo can we have a chance of bringing in that desired quality. This summer we don't need wholesale player departure, but several of the desired quality and mentality coming in.
In conclusion, I say the sale of Alfredo liberates us from the current easy and lazy option of get the ball to Morelos which is all rather too predictiable and his absence would demand that the manager has to cme up with a better and more dynamic footballing solution to the very one dimensional approach that we now have. If he succeeds we lay waste to all before us. If he fails, we are in meltdown!
