I was dead against us gambling on Gerrard, But the idea is starting to grow on me, here’s why:
1. The media fenians are terrified it might actually work every ex celtic player giving their opinions (on us suprise suprise, #obsessed mutants) are saying Gerrard shouldn’t touch it we will ruin him etc. Why do they cunts care? Cunts like Sutton, Hartson love nothing more than seeing us fail so I can’t fathom why they want us to avoid what they see as inevitable by urging Gerrard to turn it down.
2. Every loan we get from top English teams are pish, obviously we aren’t getting their best youngsters but with Gerrard hopefully that would change an he can cherry pick the good ones from Liverpool who would usually go to good championship teams
3. It could have an effect on our current players especially the ones looking to move to England in the future if they don’t try for him he’ll make it known they are shite an not good enough to play in the EPL a glowing reference from Gerrard could make a difference. 
I could think of a few more positives and even more negatives but as I said the positives are growing on me without knowing anything about what kinda manager he’s likely to be, I just hope it’s not another failure.

correct me if i am wrong, but there never could have been any takeover while he owned Newcastle. The only thing he could have done is put his proxies in place and milk us for every penny - because he had nothing at stake. This is precisely what he done.

1) continues to play Dorrans as a sitting midfielder
2) gets the players up top to press but tells the back line to sit really deep just giving them such an easy out ball
3) plays Windass who is fucking atrocious
4) team has no identity - not sure what we’re trying to play like here
5) bows to pressure from the media and fans and starts Cummings who is never ever going to contribute anything 1 up top against 2 physical CBs like Ajer and Boyata.

He had a lot more than just two good games. Before that old firm game he played in everyone on the forum were saying they would happily pay up to £3m for him.

I didn't think we'd do it either as we'd realistically have needed to win all games until the end of the season, which was improbable at best. We were arguably playing the best football in the league though and seemed like we could put the scum under some real pressure.
Sunday's catastrophe and what's followed afterwards is something not many of us saw coming. It's unfathomable really.
I thought anything but second was unthinkable but now agree that 4th certainly seems very possible if not probable. 5th would be a bit of a stretch but you never know.
