CoplandRoad83 got a reaction from demise in New home top
The stages of accepting a new Rangers home top.
1. Meh
2. Its actually better when you see it in real life
3. Its grown on me, quite like it. Just bought it.
4. The extent to which I'll remember this top is dependent on how successful we are this season.

Can't believe I'm typing this as:
1. it will never happen. and
2. I've always been in the 'stop this chat' when its mentioned as he's clearly not a winger, but I would genuinely play Sterling right back against them at the piggery, and given our lack of wide options, put Tav wide right and just put him against Taylor.
Watching Tav just now I'm convinced if he plays against them he will cost us a goal (probably in first half) and will be targeted, he's just getting caught far too much defensively, especially early doors. And I think their game plan is to get in about Tav and Goldson when they play us to disrupt our play. So Balogun in, and remove him as a weak link for a better defender.
So as bonkers as it probably sounds given we've had this for years, I feel like 'fuck it' we may as well finally try something different against them. We have limited options wide anyway, and you keep him on the park as a goal threat for freekicks or arriving at the back post.

CoplandRoad83 got a reaction from Albion in POTY awards
I know it's a bit vague the criteria for the John Greig award, but given Sterling has played all over the park for us, and never let the team down, would have thought he might have been a worthy candidate for that award based on attitude/dedication.
But doesn't really matter in grand scheme of things tbh.

Take yourself back to all the excitement about the attacking players we were going to sign in the summer, and the new players coming in. Then imagine someone told you then the goalie we got on a free transfer would take PoY and PPoY and our top scorer would be Tav.
Fair play and well done to Butland that but kinda sums up our season/recruitment.

At this time of year, character is almost more important than ability. Dessers at least has that. Butland, Sterling and Balogun also standing up. Stating the obvious, but next season we need to sign proper characters
