keithgersbear 3,225
You need the spirit to play for Rangers. That something which no Celtic player has ever had. No Celtic player could ever of been good enough for Rangers. They simply would not have it.

Sir Walter 0
At specific time periods there would have been of course. Imagine mols and larsson. Etc
Jesus 0
Anybody who genuinely thinks no Celtic players would have improved a Rangers team (and vice versa) is frankly an idiot. Larsson, Sutton, Moravcik, cadete are all great players. I'm too young to have seen Dalgliesh or Jimmy Johnston or anyone like that playing but theres no doubt they were good enough too. ChrisNZ 0
Many a post about Kenny Miller, have to agreed with them thereBut he was a Ranger first.
dundeebear3 0
Yes I am serious, so you don't think any players they have ever had would have improved usI can understand your dislike of all things Celtic but your above statement is simply ridiculous. Ozblue 4,331
If guys like Willie Wallace, Tommy Gemmell, Murdo MacLeod, Danny McGrain and Kenny Dalglish hadn't played for them would older Bears have taken them? Were before my time so I can't really comment. We should have had Bertie Peacock, Danny McGrain and Kenny Dalglish because they were all Rangers fans and were good enough skill wise, but for some reason or another, they were passed up by our managers of the time...so as far as I'm concerned-------End of fucking Story! bawbaggery 0
The OP should address the question to various Rangers managers, including Souness and Walter.

Poetry_In_Blue 1,043
Jimmy Johnstone would only have got a game for Rangers if Henderson was injured, which wasn't often. And there is the crux of the matter, when some of the players who have been mentioned were kicking about they would have had difficulty getting into our team due to the quality of the players we had at the initial time.Anyway interesting debate but the OP has been banned so who cares. Creampuff 22,628
There is not one player from that mob, in their history, that I would have been glad to see in a Rangers shirt. That's not simply due to the fact they played for them, it's just because pure and simple, Celtic aren't good enough.
