Tottenham Hotspur face Real Madrid on Tuesday 5th April 2011 in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Quarter Finals.

The second leg will be played at White Hart Lane on Wednesday 13th April 2011.

The winners of the tie will meet the winners of Barcelona v Shakhtar Donetsk in the Semi-Final.

In 1961, Bill Nicholson instigated Tottenham Hotspur's tradition of playing in an all-white kit for their European matches by telling his players "You look like Real Madrid - now go out there and play like them!"

Spurs and Real Madrid have already met once before in the fourth round (Quarter Finals) of the UEFA Cup in season 1984-85.

Tottenham lost 0-1 at home, which was their first defeat at the Lane in European football since 1961.

Was listening to Harry Redknapp the other day on SSN, he said that they were struggling to get any time in to practice tactics against Madrid due to their game on Satureday and flying out on the Monday.

If that's the case I can't see them taking anything from the game, but an away goal and keeping the score to a 1 or 2 deficit, I reckon Harry and Spurs will be confident of doing the business at White Hart Lane.

5-0 to mardird

hate tottenham and ther fraud of a clown manager

For a clown, he's not doing too badly is he?

In fact, Harry has the best record, statistically speaking, of any Tottenham Hotspur manager since the club joined the Football League in 1908...

...all that and he can juggle too!
