tugay was possibly too good for this league, he looked so lethargic almost to a point where he looked really lazy

but (like a certain brahim hemdani) the game was played out in his mind, and he was about 5 yards quicker than most of the shite he faced in the SPL

If he stayed with us he would have played CL football a few more seasons win more trophies, probably become club captain and potentially get a better move than he did. He could have realized his dreams of playing for a top club sooner than he has done. Arsenal are not what they used to be and he likely wont win anything else in his career.

His "homesickness" might have even cost him a cap.

I always thought that if Ferguson had had a couple of seasons to play beside and learn from a top experienced central midfielder he'd of been 10 times the player that he became. Tugay would have fitted the bill as would Gary McAllister when we were rumoured to have been after him (before he went to Liverpool).
