SkylineBlue 23,372
Apparently Trevor Birch is in touch wih duff and phelps over the prospect of us playing Portsmouth to raise cash for both clubs. Could be one fixture, could be home and away. I quite like the idea.

Gillete 1,338
This would work if there was other things on the day too Like a beat the goalie stand outside the ground for £1 a go and shit like thatMaybe have an ex goalie do it and have other ex players doing things The local pubs could help out with buckets for spare change etc

lewislaudrup 851
Should do something like a raffle at £100 each and fan from each team can play in the game
the goal machine 7,803
Not really...i strongly dislike friendlies...a game against portsmouth sounds arse clenchingly dull....I think it's more to do with raising funds for the two clubs rather than putting on a great football match. disgruntled_bear 157
Is it a 50/50 spilt in revenue for both games?
caseyjones 3,009
Port Vale might want to organise a tournament before the day is out.

I avoid them like the plague but entertainment value is not really the issue right now imo.

kplfishtank 4,656
not for me i would rather we concentrate on our own club and let pompey do their thing.
Johnny Dangerously 7,562
not for me i would rather we concentrate on our own club and let pompey do their thing. It's just a way of raising much needed cash, mate.
SkylineBlue 23,372
I don't imagine it being an incredibly entertaining game, but I don't feel entertainment is the point. It's about saving the teams for the fans that love them. Fans coming together to help their clubs. Sounds good to me. I like it.

Dennis 1,011
Portsmouth would have been my second team if I still lived down there. Would be nice pre season, as long as that cunt wie the bell isn't allowed over the border.
SkylineBlue 23,372
I'd probably pay more to not watch the game to be honest.I'm sure you'd be more than welcome to do that. If they go ahead and say its £20 a ticket, then you can give the club £30 without getting a ticket and it means you don't have to go. I'm sure they'd be fine with that.
