***The official Rangers vs. Queen of the South thread***

the goal machine

Recommended Posts

This is a sore game to watch.

Rangers are playing like it was a park kickabout.

Yet again no urgency and a lot of aimless passing about for the sake of it.

Aiden McGeady had more end product FFS

They are also creating chances and the longer this pish goes on, the more likely they are to get a goal.

Ally better find some magic, or get his boots on, cos if we go out this cup to QOS his credibility will take a huge nosedive.

This ain't good enough by a long way.

Expected better after Saturday tbh, thought we would have came out all guns blazing to shut a few folk up, but nae same turgid pish we have had for seasons.

Sandaza looked decent when with St Johnstone, comes to us and looks like a Sunday league player, Shiels hasnt touched the ball hardly, havent heard much mention of Ian Black. Shocking display.

we have have problems in the middle of the park since the start of the season in my view.

Black hasn't been at the races and in the scheme of things is more defensive than attacking, aside from his we have nobody else creative.

That should have been our main priority in the transfer window.

McLeod & Black should provide the platform for Shiels to influence the game in the final third.

We just play such a direct style of football that hardly anything actually goes through him on the deck.

I would give Aird a chance in the 2nd half whats the point in playing a CM (MacLeod) on the wing when he has none of the attributes to play there when we have Aird who is a natural winger/attacking midfielder who is in great form on the bench.

2nd Half Team should be---

Alexander

Argyriou Perry Cribari Wallace

McKay Black MacLeod Aird

Shiels

McCulloch

What I find difficult to understand is Ally's style. As a player, he played in teams which dominated the league, played some great stuff, and won matches. Now of course times and quality have changed since then, but surely even himself, a man born to score goals, would think tactically more attacking than he does?
