After CR Smith did a joint sponsorship upto end of season 86-87 we went our own way with McEwans and Septic stayed with CR Smith. They tried to do similar and ended up with People's of Bathgate at the start of the 90's! Kind of shows who owns the commercial interest in OF. Mind you I would be happy to go our own way. We already are just now.

What a bunch of deluded soap dodging scumbags, do they honestly think their disgrace of a sporting institution can afford to give up shirt sponsorship ?

Are they really that blind and bigoted that they haven't noticed their club is selling players in order to balance the books.

fucking brilliant, let them commit commercial suicide, what potential advertiser would want to decimate their potential market share by sponsering their green and grey rag on a solo basis?

liewell took his begging bowl round the world and had to come back to duke street, the quicker we get their jakey brew off our tops the better. it looks fucking awfull.

will be happy to trust green to get us a better deal, he's done well so far in that department. the worldwide publicity we've generated by supporting our club in such huge numbers despite our position will make us even more attractive to potential sponsers

I'd rather we had nothing to do with them either.

However the sad truth of it is that the Old Firm, whether we like it or not, are what sells. It's a world famous rivalry & is the main selling point of commercial deals (TV, sponsors etc).

They are the cross we have to bear, so to speak.

they wanted to go themselves before OUR Tennents deal

flogged all over Asia to no avail

Begged to piggy back our deal

Still they could always get thone garage in Rutherglen what was it?...... 'Peoples' truly global

In truth we should be telling our board we want fek all to do with them and get the Old Firm tae fek, no more guilt by association with them.

Did we not have a separate sponsor from them years ago? When did we start to have the same sponsors?

CrSmith originally them it came back in with NTL

It just shows that they hate us more than they "support" their own club if they'd rather go without ANY sponsorship income...

A simple reply to the Bheast shareholders from Vanguardbears

It’s not often that Vanguard Bears is in agreement with Celtic supporters – particularly their lunatic fringe - but on this occasion we fully endorse the opinion of their shareholders who, prior to their Annual General Meeting next month, want all joint commercial ties severed with Rangers.

They will have their own motives - most probably deep-rooted hatred of the very existence of our club. We at VB have our own:-

We do not want to be associated in any way with Celtic FC and its unambiguous and undeniable links to Irish Republican terrorism and the unforgiveable covering-up of heinous child abuse.

Whatever they - or any other club - do or do not do with regard to their commercial sponsorthip deals is a matter for them and not worthy of any consideration whatsoever by Rangers. Our only duty and privilege is to look after ourselves, to get the best deals we can for ourselves (and I include TV and media rights in this too), to generate as much cash as we can for ourselves, and to use the money from these deals wisely. Perhaps their shirts will bear the names of great sponsoring insititutions like Enron or Barings or Jarvis and their club follows the same fortune as these institutions.
