AlBear. 8,499
On Goals on Sunday there gushing about his time at Rangers. Says it was his most enjoyable time in football. It's a sad situation that his knowledge and experience isn't being utilised currently in an official position at a football club. Clearly had a negative impact on Chelsea after he left.Would we be happy if someone of his calibre came back to Rangers in an official capacity? Or is the "jobs for boys" mentality the scourge of football?

Moody Blue Legend 62,064
Strange the way he got the boot from Chelsea. Wouldn't upset me if he came back even though he gave me a bollocking one day!!

elephants stoned 2,994
I would love to have Ray on our coaching staff, maybe once all this bulllshit is over we could make it happen but i wouldnt blame him if he held off until our financial position is clear and the boardroom antics have ceased. thebluedoo 2,652
Spoke really well of his time with us, bit dissappointed they didn't show his made in England wonder strike in our 5 1 drubbing of them or even his legends strike
DelightfulDennis 123
What role would he have? He's a man of integrity so I doubt he'd want to be associated with the current board. I don't see any role available in the coaching staff but I doubt he would take one anyway. I think he's probably happy with his current role as a pundit. Probably only a London club could tempt him back into coaching.
Right_To_Censor 1,951
that goal against them at ibrox :drools
Number6 251
There's a few rumours behind his departure. Ancelotti didn't even know he was going so it wasn't his decision. He apparently had a few disagreements with the Chief Executive and that was the real reason.

alstone 374
Despite his awful first appearance on sky sports when he kept telling players to stay on their feet and was calling players by first name I think he's one of the better pundits about, a complete gentlemen you actually cant fault him for anything he is so wise and sincere about everything
hammer time 653
can remember he came back to Scotland to play for the edinburgh junkies and got a standing ovation from the crowd when he was subbed at Ibrox, league cup game i think mid to late nineties. when his name gets mentioned everyone thinks of that goal against the mhanks what a fantastic strike

BlueSuedeSambas 54,542
His salary at Chelsea was a reported £350,000 so unless he was going to replace McCoist he would be far too expensive for us at the moment.
