Redwhiteandblue 3,330
Big Amo could leather a deid baw sure.Except he thought he was playing rugby. Did Amo not actually boot a ball right out the stadium at one game?Who was it a couple seasons back kick the ball right inside the Govan stand, straight down the stairs in the middle of the stand. Took about two minutes to get a ball coz of that daft spl one ball rule.
Redwhiteandblue 3,330
Pedro MendesNever an expert. Was usually anonymous away from Ibrox, was really strange for a player that was probably one of the best technical players we've had this side of the millennium. elephants stoned 2,994
Jelavic could hit a mean dead ball but Der Hammer is the last true FK specialist i can remember. When Jorg was over the ball you were already celebrating the inevitable goal.
docspiderman 1,260
Will Black and McCulloch ever learn that the stupid touch and even worse the double touch means that the opposition are are yard away when the shot at goal is finally attempted? It is not even a touch to create an angle just an embarrasment that they keep the same failing ploy going every game.
ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
Nicky Law should be taking our free kicks.
Wilbert 416
Pedro Mendes the last I can remember, Papac used to love a freekick as well

It is not even a touch to create an angle just an embarrasment that they keep the same failing ploy going every game.Embarrassment is probably the only word which describes that ridiculous double and triple touch free kick they keep attempting, especially when it's so close to goal like that. At best they're just playing blooter and hope pinball with what should really be a decent opportunity. That was Jig's call last night though and it seems as though it's his own set piece. Black didn't look like he wanted Jig to do it and I don't believe Black himself would have done anything like that if he'd been taking it himself. Zappa 358
Btw, was Rothen not supposed to be a free kick specialist?
Craig53 326
Aluko could hit a good FK, the 2 he scored for us in his half season with us were crackers.
Redsox1 1,361
Cooper was the last that I can remember. Albertz hit a few but missed a very high percentage. Adam never really got the free kick takers role so never got a chance to really show what he could do. Amo was another blaster. Arteta / Gio were other capable free kick takers but we haven`t had any prolific ones like the bheasts have had.
theblueoysterbar 19,854
Can't get much better than Albertz for power and accuracyWee Weiss is a could have been, for technique that he could have been coached on.
Bighouse 1,012
Suprised no ones mentioned Barry Ferguson after his peach against the scum in the 2002 Scottish Cup Final

And Albertz scored plenty that way.
Redsox1 1,361
I don`t think albertz scored as many as people think. But the ones he did score were memorable.not sure if there is anywhere that tells you % scoring from free kicks. Probably only then could we sayfor sure who`s been the best. gogzy 31,195
Arteta could hit them.Gio, i remember him being able to hit brilliant corners, not sure about FKs
DelightfulDennis 123
Don't be too hard on Peralta because of one poor free-kick. I think he's a good set-piece taker. Remember he scored a cracker against Dundee so we know he has the ability. He also looks very dangerous from long range in open play and he had a tremendous effort tonight which hit the bar. WilliamFyfe 1,438
Law should hit our at goal. Black is decent as the crosses a think.
Tumshie 205
Last guy I can remember scoring a lot of free kicks was probably big Jelavic, apart from that it was big Albertz or Gio van Bronckhorst. The worst one for me was Boyd. Frustrating as fuck to see basically the same free kick hit the same part of the wall 9 times out of 10.
allgers 735
Thought Peralta was not to bad at fee kicks, Black annoys the shit out of me with free kicks the wee lay off to the side never works.
bluemc 305
Probably Albertz.
Young Bob 1,360
McCulloch has been watching Amo videos.Personally I think every free kick should be flicked sideways to Macleod. He takes one touch then volleys the ball into the top corner. Keep it simple.
