mabawsa 888
Ally has lined up Ian Ferguson to replace him.Aye the older one that scored the winner for us in the 1984 league cup final!

elephants stoned 2,994
Would tie in with what Elfideldo was hinting at the other day. Gutted if true as Telfer is one of the most highly rated of our U20s this kid could be worth millions in a few years and our manager needs punted purely for not giving him a chance never mind all Allys other catastrophes. pcbear 10,932
I think it was common knowledge that he was out of contract, did he not only sign on for a year at the end of last season?
elephants stoned 2,994
Pretty much a done deal from what I have heard, now just compensation to be agreed.Should be around 65k, if he went outwith Scotland it would be around 360,000 euros.Apparently Rangers "forgot" his contract was up, we are a fecking shambles.Fuck sake that is totally disgusting bad enough we don't play him we forget he's out of contract. What the fuck has happened at Ibrox?!
ElwoodBlues 41
Can anyone seriously believe that we "forgot" his contract was up? If I was in his position I would be telling Ally everyday that I wanted to renew my contract.

Smile 26,624
You have to laugh at how hard some are trying to have a go at McCoist you'd think Telfer was the next Messi reading some of the nonsense posted here.

The Dude 20,027
Don't be stupid. It's not up to the player, it's the manager. although the boy clearly was desperate to stay which is why he allowed his deal to run out without asking the question about a renewal. WilliamFyfe 1,438
Could be a done deal. @AgentScotland: Charlie Telfer will sign a 3 year contract with Dundee Utd as of July 1st, the contract is significantly less than he was offered at Ibrox.@bbcjimspence: Dundee Utd hope to sign Rangers midfielder Charlie Telfer. The eighteen year old is out of contract in summer at Ibrox

WilliamFyfe 1,438
So he was offered a new deal? Interesting twist.Could well of been. But with United actually playing youth these days I'd probably go them as well.

Gaffbear 4,174
If he is allowed to leave we should hang our heads in shame.Throwing money at quick fixes got us into this mess when the whole time we should have been building with guys like Telfer,McLeod and Aird etc.Totally dismayed at this. there'sonlyoneamoruso 1,724
Reminds me of the Andrew Shinnie situation from a few years ago. Talented youngster frustrated at not getting a game for the first team opts to go to a small club to further his career. The club should have learned from that mistake. After the league was won Telfer should have been started for 2 or 3 games. If he did well keep playing him if he didn't then put him back in the U20s. RFCstuart 317
Depressing as fuck. Why would he want to stay, in all honesty! Really hope we can keep him and he is at least given a chance!

Obviously we don't mean that much to him, remember the flack Danny Wilson got and he was moving to the premiership FFS.If he wants to go then let him.
