The Widow's Son 399
He scored the winner in fairytale style aged 16 and dined out on that one for a while. Strong player, regular goalscorer and someone who played for the jersey for quite a few years. Big fans favourite too. I've met some that never thought that he was as good as his press but he will always be a favourite player of mine. My fave club servant will always be Colin Jackson but DJ is up there too. Canabear 4,583
Cat among the pidgeons here. He was just as good a centre half as he was a centre forward.
pcbear 10,924
Cat among the pidgeons here.He was just as good a centre half as he was a centre forward. So is John Daly, he is shite at both.

Canabear 4,583
So is John Daly, he is shite at both.If i had a choice of Daly or DJ for either position i know who i'd take,,,,and in a heartbeat as well. Johnstone never gets the credit he was due when he played centre half.
mearns loyal 2,760
Absolutely, and should have made it into the greatest team ahead of Hateley...
bluegecko 306
He could have been our all time goal scorer had he played all his time up front. Was equally as good at the back. Why is this even a question?
harlands plater 17,065
Undoubtedly for most of his playing career he was.

piperpete 3,186
He was and still is my favourite Rangers player, there have been many a lot better but that DJ and Calamero combination was the best, the telepathy between them was superb. If only someone would sit Tempelton down and show him tapes of how to cross a ball.
