I quite like your 'sponsor a sponsor' - (SAS ) there seem to be many prolific posters who don't have the cash to donate £5 - I would be willing to help them out?

The sentiment is appreciated, but the truth is, if anybody is struggling to justify donating, when they have other priorities for their fiver, then all they need to do is PM me saying "sorry I can't donate, I'm skint" or something like that, and they''ll qualify for a 100% discount, and nobody else will know. (tu)

As we keep saying, it's not about your money, it's about your support. :21:

I know it's only two day's away but if you can be bothered then feel free to put me down as a pledge until Friday. Will be for the same as last year, £30.

Only seeing the after effects of whatever's happened in the last few days but thanks for organising this and everything else you've done/do.

Cheers (tu)

Will do mate. Thanks! (tu)

If you've not donated, lock back through the thread and see what is done with the money.

And this thread's less than 3 weeks old. !!!!!

We've got 3 years worth of threads...

My grandpa was in Erskine before he died so it is a place close to my heart. I wish he had been alive to see all the hard but worthwhile work that GB does because of the superb donations from RM members. He would have been made up to get a day out to his beloved Rangers and even more so to have gotten a ration pack. He loved his whisky!

This one made me cry a wee bit. Bastard! :p20:

No need for people to be negative in these threads. We all know what there about if you dont want to contribute done bloody click the topic lol

Anyway to help towards the 200 and an incentive for the main man to return ill sign up for my kids and wife if GB returns so theres another 3 people on the list and ill donate a tenner for each of them (tu)

Shit, this is a dangerous precedent you've set!

Oky how's about a compromise? Wives/Husbands/Partners can join if they really really want to.

But we can't let the Kids in. This is strictly over -18's :P

- That’s a lot of threads! :pipe:

The RangersMedia Erskine Rangers Recreation Fund (aka The Fund) is a voluntary fundraising group funded by RM Member donations (and other occasional fundraising activities). A donation of £5 or more gains you membership of the Fund’s Hall of Fame, which is by far the most respectable list around these parts - but more importantly, it helps us help our Veterans, and our Club.

The money raised is spent as follows:

  • Providing Rangers FC Products and Services to Residents of 4 Erskine Care Homes (eg: Season Tickets, Match Tickets, Hospitality Tickets, Stadium Tours, Argyle Restaurant Lunches, Rangers TV, Rangers Match Programmes)
  • Providing non-Rangers-related Recreational Treats for the Residents of 4 Erskine Homes (eg: Boat Trips, Restaurant Lunches, Christmas Party Donations, Palace Visits, D-Day Whisky Miniatures)
  • Supporting The Rangers Family - Rangers Development Fund, Rangers Charity Foundation, Rangers Ladies, Rangers Football In The Community.

(we also support Residents of Hollybush House Hospital (Combat Stress) along the same lines as the Erskine Homes)

The Fund has no running costs – (except the 6% PayPal fee charged by PayPal on all donations :( ). So every penny donated is properly spent and properly accounted for. (tu)

With over £25,000 raised to date (and spent very wisely!), we are now enthusiastically embarking on our 4th Season of Supporting Erskine Veterans and Rangers FC. It promises to be our most successful season so far - and that’s why we’d really like you to join us.

We launched this season’s new membership a few days ago, and the response from members has been awesome - We already have over 100 New Members before a ball is even kicked.

But the more members we have, the more we can achieve, so please join us. It's easy.

To Support our Activities, and Join our Hall of Fame, simply donate £5 or more to the Fund (and PM me).

  • If money is in short supply, that's all we need from you. (tu)
  • If even £5 is too much, not a problem - PM me for a full concession - there are other ways to help apart from money! :pipe:
  • If you earn enough to donate more than £5, then please feel free to donate as you see fit. (tu)
  • If you're on holiday, offshore, waiting for pay day etc, then PM me and I'll add you to the Pledged List - then you can donate whenever is good for you.

And RM is a better place for it too ;) Welcome back.

Our recognition for the sacrifice veterans (of all religious denominations, creeds and colours) have made for us is a key thing which sets us apart...it makes me pwoud and ashamed at the same time...pwoud to be involved (in my small way) in giving these guys days out to look forward to...ashamed that I don't do more for such a deserving cause.

Not too ashamed to give you £100 though ;) Well done that him/her
