Surprise Suprise the tims are away from home to Ross County again this year. Playing next Sunday, last year same venue, no minutes silence or poppies on display. The computer that is used for fixtures must be programmed for tims away from home and an accommodating team so they are not shamed.

this .All day of the week and it's no computer that arranges this .It's just a pockle

Nevermind the cunt's stance.

I have no respect for any team that deems the poppy a worthwhile emblem to adorn their shirts and then allows one of their players to disrespect not only those who served but also his club, teammates and the city & country where he enjoys his freedom.

He should have been told if you don't wear it you don't play.

No surprise that of all the colours, races, religions and nationalities that make up the EPL the only one that is disrespectful is a British tarrier

The more people acknowledge him, the more he'll do it. It's clear his purposely seeks to cause controversy and that's how he'll be remembered as a player, which in itself is odd.

There have been many, many nationalist Northern Irishman to play in Britain and none of them felt it necessary to parade their politics on the park. They knew where they were plying their trade, they knew not bite the hand that fed them and they probably had friends that were Welsh, Scottish, English and Northern Irish Unionists.

He's an average Premier League player who gets an above average amount of attention.

I think he is a scumbag however the wearing of a poppy is a personal show of rememberance and no-one should feel obligated or forced to wear one.

Why give him such media attention, he wouldnt get the level of attention for not wearing a pink ribbon or other displays of charity.

The poppy represent remberance of the fallen but it is also a charity (The British Legion). To wear one means you are donating to the charity to support veterans and current serving members of the Armed Forces, as well as the upkeep of Gardens Of Rememberance ect.

I hope every team that displays it on their kit is dontating something to the Legion or it is a meaningless show of conformity.

We discussed the ITV presenters decision not to wear on today in the office. We are all serving members of the Armed Forces and couldnt give a fuck if she wears one or not (she does by the way, just not on TV). It is a personal decsion.

This wee cunt it only after the attention and the trouble he can create.

Our servicemen being injured or killed whilst pretentiously ignorant idiots like you do not give a fuck is even more tiresome.

.

That is a hell of a post.

The fallen died to help protect us from the Germans twice and deserve respect. Even if you hate the military show them respect for one day and just shut up and be quiet and allow those who appreciate what they did for our country to be remembered.

See the thing about these cunts, Caddis, Glesson and the McClean's of this world, they are hypocritical bastards.

The huge taxes they pay on their salaries goes towards funding the British Army, amongst other things. You know, the thing they are so up in arms about.

If they have any integrity, the courage of their own convictions, they would tell their Agent to get them signed for a Team anywhere but the UK, so they wouldn't be funding the British Army. It wouldn't be so hard to do, maybe have to drop a few quid on salaries mind you. And that's what shows them up as hypocrites, when they could play elsewhere and not help contribute to the Queen's Exchequer, and as such, helping to fund the British Army.

Shows them up for what they really are :uk:

Also its not a case that he is principled, he deliberately taunts people especially bears. His comments on twitter about Rangers and FIFA 16, his comments about Celtic and Kiernan and him going to see them are all designed to upset people....so if he dishes it put he can expect to take it.

West Brom’s Londonderry footballer James McClean received a chorus boos at Old Trafford for refusing to wear the Remembrance Day poppy.

While all the other players appeared to be wearing the commemorative flowers, the poppy was conspicuously absent from McClean’s jersey, and the home support raucously booed the winger

The issue has been a recurring theme in the 26-year-old’s club career in England, as similar situations have occurred during the Londonderry native’s time at Sunderland and Wigan.

McClean was lucky not to be booked in the opening minute for a rash challenge on United defender Daley Blind.

How do you know he doesn't give a fuck ? Maybe he's noticed the unbearable hypocrisy in this creeping poppy tyranny.

I never knew you could buy patriotism. That by way of sticking your pint change in a jar at the bar it allows you to connect with strangers who joined the army.
