None of my mates down in England had heard about this until I pinged a few recent updates their way.

It's utterly bizarre the national media hasn't highlighted this to the extent of other paedophilia scandals in recent times.

same over here unless you follow  Rangers or celtic which the vast majority dont

Genuine question here for some of our more legal minded Bears.  When the news of Savile broke it was utterly open season on him from all outlets of the media, and rightly so.  It was the biggest story around.

Now that the news is breaking and slowly creeping out of Parkhead, with little or no coverage from some of the biggest news providers, could the difference be Savile was dead and most of the accused in the celtic case are still alive?  How big a difference, if any, does that make to the reporting of this scandal?

im not "legal minded" but imo there should be more coverage of Torbett and celtic since Torbett etc have actually been found guilty. I don't think Saville was actually convicted of anything even if there is no doubt about him being a wrong yin especially since he was a celtic man

Gary glitter was named and shamed regarding child pornography (and still alive).

Tony Blackburn was wrongfully accused of stuff, and named by his own employers (the BBC) was he not?

Plenty of people are named in various abuse cases, as are their employers in some cases...

The Taigs PR man will be getting a huge bonus just now.

as alluded to this is far further than PR

at the top of many media organisations there are taigs keeping this story on the lowdown .

much the same as popcorn teeth is the only person in the history of the game in this country to receive sectarian abuse .we all know Nacho Novo has been at the centre of similar attacks .mainly due his open rejection of refusing to sign for their club despite being an RC himself

I am sure that must be the case, apart from here or a few on twitter I do not see it mentioned now.

Could not agree more but the longer the silence goes on it got me wondering if there was possibly a less sinister theory.  The whole episode is fucking shocking!

Fromm ff

Patrick McGuire

Now saying he has another 20 names of people abused inside the mhurky corridors of CP. More shockingly that some of these men are saying they were abused by more than one person.
The piece I seen on Twitter was from The Sunday Post online anybody else see this elsewhere.

Time they shut this vile institution down.

Just a question BNB, is there any chance this could be compromised by McGuire saying publicly there are more coming forward?

Just a thought.

Don't see why that would compromise anything.

Anyone denying all conspiracy theories per se only needs to look at how this story has been suppressed politically, on tv, by football authorities and in the msm to appreciate how influential the beast is. This is a story of huge magnitude, certainly no less than our tax affairs and admin, yet across all platforms it is being denied airtime and comment.

The country is republican and corrupt to the core

Injunctions whilst trials are running and for specific conditions,  ie preventing naming celtic FC rather than CBC, can restrict reporting.

This is now nothing more than influential power play, driven by beasts, to suppress coverage at every level.

Whilst Sturgeon, the SFA etc are adhering now, they run the risk of becoming complicit by non action in due course.

A First Minister not taking action against an institution beset by years of sexual abuse? A controlling organisation not taking urgent action on a member club where tens, or hundreds, of vulnerable have been sexually abused? Their day will come...

The Sunday Post is a shitty wee dead paper yet is unfortunately the only one running with this. For me this is the biggest story in Scotland just now - not just in football - yet Lafferty flashing his boaby on Instagram to some attention seeking wannabe WAG who was evidently put up to it by the paper gets more profile. Absolute disgrace.
