Doesn't look old fashioned and doesn't really represent what they have been building of late. It looks like a 1960s government building in an Eastern European communist dictatorship. hammer93 15,057
It just doesn't look like a football stadium, walking up on matchday with your wee lad for the 1st time would be interesting "but dad you said you would take me to the football "

Yes, it's very brutalist. It reminds me of vintage sci-fi's conception of a massive bureaucratic government building.

tannerall 25,935
I like it. Modernist architecture but instead of building yet another steel and concrete monstrosity they've used the brick cladding to give it a more homely traditional feel, looking to the future but fitting in easily to the old traditional aspects of the area. These guys know what they are doing, they've built a huge variety of modern innovative buildings along with more traditional enhanced styles, https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=herzog+de+meuron&rlz=1CAACAJ_enGB703GB703&espv=2&biw=1093&bih=505&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiL_8vk47_RAhUBVhoKHYDeCMIQ_AUIBigB Think of iconic brick buildings like Battersea Power Station (not that far from Fulham), and our own main stand before dissing the idea. And if they use the right kind of brick, especially the colour, the results would look fantastic, maybe a brick similar to this one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staffordshire_blue_brick

Chineseboy 1,563
Whenever a new stadium design comes out, people complain about it. Happens all the time. Personally, not sure if I like it or not, but the outside reminds me of some mosques I have been to.

A.T.G 10,773
Looks horrendous, fair enough about the "modern approach" but looks fuck all like any modern buildings, you could make a far better stadium than that
A.T.G 10,773
Also I see the bricks seem to extend over the front of the stands, surely the drips from the rain will be annoying as fuck
