frenv 2,125 Posted September 14, 2019 Share Posted September 14, 2019 He done *exactly* what we needed him to do today - fill a position on the bench due to the injury to Jones (ahead of him in the pecking order, imo), then come on and do a job for us. He filled that bench position, came on and scored a very decent goal. My main concern is that he's pretty injury prone, and with Kent and Jones out I just hope he can keep himself fit for the run of games coming up. I thought Barker did nothing aside from a very well struck goal. Yet you can often see players totally run the show but don’t get plaudits because they didn’t score or they didn’t get an assist. Stats are sometimes useful and often not. Nobody really shone yesterday though.
