SUPPORTERS will be aware of the ongoing situation with COVID-19 and will have concerns over the impact the virus will have on Rangers FC. The Club would like to update supporters regarding the upcoming matches and additional safety measures that the Club has imposed.

Rangers v Bayer Leverkusen, Thursday 12 March, and Rangers v celtic, Sunday 15 March

The Club has taken additional safety measures including installing hand sanitiser gel dispensers in all public toilets. Coronavirus safety information will also be displayed on the big screens at the match and has been added to the Club programme.

Safety advice includes:

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze.

Always wash your hands when you get home or into work with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water is not available.

Put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards.

Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell.

Supporters should be aware that following direction and advice from the Club and authorities that Rangers football staff have been ordered to avoid contact with any supporters or third parties where possible. Unfortunately, that means there will be no opportunity for photographs, autographs or meeting players or coaching staff pre or post-match. We apologise for this inconvenience.

Bayer Leverkusen, Thursday 19 March

The Club is in continuous dialogue with Bayer Leverkusen and the authorities over this upcoming fixture. The current situation is that the match will proceed as planned with supporters attending the game but this could change quickly and dramatically in the coming days. Direction will have to be taken from the German authorities.

We appreciate the uncertainty this situation will be causing for our travelling fan base and the Club will endeavour to update supporters at every available opportunity.

Thank you for your dedication and continued support.

Not so easy on ferries., busses, trains bringing 50000 supporters into an environment where we're pretty much on top of each other. Literally if we score.

I laughed reading that too

Aye, if John Beaton gives us fuck all on Sunday then email the club telling them he went for a shite at half time and never washed his hands.

Then we’ll get a statement.

Definitely the way forward. :pipe:

This is what annoys me about public toilets. There’s little point washing your hands if you need to open up a door to get out.  Chances are, some cunt hasn’t washed their hands and the door handle is covered in germs.

I always open the door with a single sheet of bog roll and just drop it behind the door as I swagger on through.
