Club Statement - "be safe"

In September this year a  global summit is being held in Glasgow. This summit may, nay more that likely,  involve protest and political groups trying to congregate in and around the SECC complex to voice their concerns or just to  demonstrate.

Police Scotland will as early as now, and  as  part of their contingency planning,  will be monitoring all known websites for the potential of trouble. I can tell you now that an exclusion zone will be set up to prevent anyone getting within a mile of that area.

Now you cant tell me that PS didn't know or were caught on the hop about the possibility of crowds congregating en-mass around George Square, yet they done  absolutely nothing.  They purposely allowed the issue to happen and they didn't  put in place any emergency or contingency planning, so questions have to be asked by NS of PS...why not?

I remember the deputy Chief Constable of GMC come on the news in 2008 stating that his Police Force were more than prepared to address visiting fans because they had the Commonwealth Games there earlier that year....aye right lol lol  totally  inept, out of touch and clueless.

The PS deputy Chief Officer who was on tv bleating the same about Saturday is the same mold......didn't do his job and therefore try's to deflects his  organisations ineptitude  and failings back on others.

The police could quite easily have blocked off all roads to Ibrox and  George Square, they knew it could happen.

Sturgeon saying she has a 3 page letter from Rangers but at no time did the club ask fans to go home or not to gather.

Maybe they needed these guys

Apart from the fact it states in the letter that tannoy announcements were made at the stadium (even Sky Sports backed that up on Sunday reporting live), and twice Steven Gerrard spoke about the need for social distancing and abiding by the rules.

This is the dangerous thing about her daily political platform. She has that platform to spout lies and to set our institution up as the bad guy while no one holds her to account. No mention that we instigated contact with the police, sg, deputy fm and justice secretary. She wanted an apology. That's all she wanted to say about the letter.

Veiled threats and no accountability for her government, shifting the blame onto anyone else. They knew in February of the possibility this could happen and their engagement with us was minimal.

What was said in national television today was nothing short of lies and slander. I hope the club come back out and stand their corner.

They let it go ahead to get the exact response from the government and media that they're getting - fuckin stinks to the high heavens

The SNP has the mainstream media on its side.  It has a daily TV slot to spout its propaganda.   They have the apparatus of Govt and Govt websites as tools to influence their messaging.  They have personalities who are in the public eye daily to pitch the messaging.   They have Covid emergency powers to draw on, and further powers they can create as there is no effective opposition in Holyrood or even in the mainstream media.

Rangers does not have access to national TV or radio and (it seems) not much access to mainstream newspapers either.  There are no well known personalities who are regularly n front of TV cameras on a national basis to counter the points and to put the Rangers view and case.

We can all complain in social media as much as we want to, and we probably will.  But it cuts very little ice in this cancel culture age we live in.    Politicians have discovered the taste for autocracy and they like it.  They have discovered how far the public can be pushed, and persuaded, and made to fear.  And they like the power and influence this gives them. Put that in the hands of a SNP leadership and Govt that has no effective opposition and no effective media challenge and the situation is simple.......they set the narrative without fear of any effective opposition.

They are well aware of how effective 'cancel culture' has been recently and still is.  The only question for the SNP is how far they are prepared to push this.   Is it fire for political effect and the sky is bright for a while with flares of accusation and threat and counter-accusation and the thing settles down as another traditional Govt vs Rangers squabble.  Or does the SNP sense a chance to cancel Rangers?

No conspiracies. But no co-incidences either.  Watching this space as the saying goes.  We've not seen the end game on this yet,

Unreal. Sturgeon just obfuscating now.

I also didn't know lack of leadership was a crime, our letter aside of course.

COVID has become the biggest and easiest stick to beat every cunt with and Sturgeon using it to the full.

I think she will step back from this now and leave it to the cabal at Hampden to deal with us.

I do hope the club is prepared to go to war on this latest round of shit thrown at us, should it result in any more than fines.
