Yes. The Scottish Government say the euros was a flagship international event. Not top sure how it's following the science mind you...

Yeah. Flagship international events are worth risking lives for is the logical conclusion of that.

SG now saying the Euro games were "internationally significant events" that outweigh "regular domestic football matches"

Fucking disgraceful.

Who says one football match is bigger than another? UEFAs money clearly.

See, all they're in effect saying is 2k is the safe level, but for a big event we'll allow some risks to be taken that we wouldn't otherwise take. Health takes second place to tournament football.

Either 2k is the safe level or it isn't.

Missing your point here, dude.

Theres no legitimate argument that can be made that Euro 2020 is more internationally significant than the Champions League. If the SG want to use that as their justification for 2K limit, it will soon be tested by upcoming CL fixtures and applications for increased gates.

If she DOES deem the CL to be of equal significance, allowing something like 15k into Ibrox for a CL qualifier but only 2k for a league game that comes after it would surely be enough for the club to go nuclear.

Hopefully the club are just waiting on this. Some amount of money involved here.

The issue is travelling to and from the game, not the game itself. You could easily pack Ibrox and have very little cases come specifically from it, let alone hospitalisation.

Government here don't want to sort out the travel issue and rather keep the attendances bottlenecked. Stagger the entry and leaving times by sections could easily solve that problem. Who wouldnt sacrifice an extra half hour/hour of their time each side of the game to get a packed Ibrox?

These decisions are an open goal. They make no sense.

The whole thing is a nonsense.

I can't believe that a British Lions warm up is deemed more important by the Scottish Government than the Scottish Premiership.

Surely you would know the club would only go nuclear for something they are losing money on. They ain't losing any money on league games.
