Can see it getting on top very quickly about this to be honest. A few bannings, some hefty fines and criminal record for those doing it.

When you have fans throwing flares at the police and causing injuries then this is bound to happen. It doesn't matter if it wasn't us, or even that it was by away fans in a European competition it will be held up as proof of the dangers.

Football fans are just another go to to blame for the state of the country and the governments of both the UK and Scotland need whatever distractions they can get at the moment.

Since football is still seen as the sport of the working class ( given the prices of some games that tag is a misnomer) politicians find football fans to be easy targets. They never go after rugby fans.
