He's won plenty with us. But this is clearly a season too many for him being the captain and regular starter. It very obviously needed a change and that change hasn't happened. Won plenty? Whether that improves the defence (and specifically Souttar's performances) as a whole? Tie will tell.

The players yesterday bar 1 or 2 were equally as bad. Everyone is frustrated as fuck but abusing players like that is exactly the behaviour that we ridiculed the scum fans for a few years back. We ridicule them for it why? Is being nice and all decorum etc getting results? We should be ruthless ffs.

We ridiculed them when they were doing it to their players when they were actually in a better state than we are now. I’m not saying don’t do anything but singling out Tav alone is ridiculous, the whole team were shit. The anger should be directed at the board and manager. He could be more vocal as a captain, yes, but it’s not his fault he gets picked. It’s clear he’s not good enough but for fans to treat him like that is shit. He’s got kids and a wife and it’ll be upsetting for them too to see it all over social media.

smartypants 4,565
Tavs decline in the last 8 months or so has been remarkable, he's lost 2 yards of pace. HG5 and BlueAvenger
KBOO72 4,757
Physically he isn't up to the job anymore. He's never been a good defender but he's now offering fuck all going forward either. Lost a yard or 2 of pace and looks increasingly lethargic and leggy game by game. But more importantly he's completely gone mentally. From the pre season game against Birmingham he's had the look of a player who just doesn't want to be here. And he certainly didn't want to be there yesterday. Someone on here got laughed at for pointing out his body language getting off the bus, but he was bang on. He was beaten before he even got to the stadium and not for the first time. He had a pre game press conference last season where you could tell he didn't even believe himself when he was answering the questions. Not that I particularly care now, but for his own sake he needs to go because this season is going to be horrible for him if not. The players are human beings doing a job to a good standard or poor standard, people above them to be held to account.
