Is Clement getting an easy ride?

The amount of games we had lost against them by letting an early goal in and chasing 0-2 at HT is disgusting. Even during Michael Fuckin Beale we were never humiliated by them, although we were still losing. That shows you the state we are in.

We might not have got hammered under Beale but the 1-0 loss we suffered at Ibrox was up against maybe one of the worst Celtic starting 11's you will ever likely see come to Ibrox

We don't need Gerrard back but we need someone of that ilk here. Ever since he left those cunts have walked all over us  and never looked back.

Gio, Beale, Clement all busted flushes when it comes to Scottish football. This board can go take a flying fuck to themselves

Yeah, think we require a manager who only cares about winning in any way. Someone in the ilk of a Gerrard/Gattuso(know he’s been a shite manager) looking for their first job.

We give up the same chance time and time again where our entire midfield and defence are taken out of the game with one pass because the defence are caught on their heels and the midfield has no real shape or structure.

This overly high line, with no real defensive protection was first called out on commentary by Ally McCoist as a ridiculous tactic during the home game against Benfica. Let that sink in, one of the worst Rangers managers of all time, a guy who’s never managed since, seen it and commented on it during a game and here we are still doing it six months down the line.

That’s nothing to do with cost cutting, injured players or celtic having a better squad, it’s down to piss poor tactics, management and coaching - three things we are seeing from Clement nearly every week, and that’s before you throw in the more and more unhinged, delusional and desperate comments he’s making every time a microphone is stuck in front of his face.

Sacking him changes absolutely nothing in the short term because the changes we need have to happen higher up the chain too, but he’s not the guy for us long term and his own decisions and choices are playing as big of a role in people coming to that conclusion as the restraints he’s doing the job under are.

We dont have a high line we don't press, we dont press we invite the better team onto us and we lose

Fact is they are a better side than us across the pitch,

The cup final we did, an absolute shambles of a first half to the point that mob came out with slippers on in the second half

That's just made up pish mate

Hart

Johnston, Lagerbielk, Scales, Taylor

O'Riley, McGregor, Turnbull

Abada, Kyogo, Maeda

Basically Carter Vickers and Hatate away from full strength and they were replaced with Lagerbielk who they signed for £3.5m and Turnbull £3m

Doesn't matter what manager we have, they are 3 years ahead of us on the park and have the money to keep moving ahead, its a complete opposite of the 90's where they changed managers all the time while we had a settled squad (and gaffer) and the finances over them

Even when burns had them playing good football in OF games we still got the wins because of their naivety and walter out smarting them

Yes, but I don’t think if that had been a tight game there would be anywhere near the reaction. The rest of the league is further behind the OF than ever before too.

A winner wouldn’t be coming out and saying but we beat Ross County 6-0 last week.

The difference is they know they’re weak at the back against us and go hunting in packs with their midfield mucking in to close out our attacks. We gave them acres of spaces, that’s not skill. That’s either bad tactics from Clement or wilful negligence from our players.

They were dreadful that day

and still won

There is a reason the crowd was toxic at the end of the game and gave Beale and the players deserved pelters from the stands

He’s been given the remit to reduce the wage bill so can only bring in a certain player for a certain fee on specific wages .

on top of that he’s got 2 out injured , 3 just back from injury .

Lastly, the part that nobody is willing to hear is that them across the city have a better squad than us at this point in time. So sacking a manager and starting again will solve fuck all.

he needs time to build and get a few windows to build a competitive team. Selling some players as we go to be able to keep strengthening .

you could bring in fucking Pep right now with these money constraints you will get the same outcomes.

Other than the last sentence you are right. But the starting 11 wasn't really much more money than we spent.

The biggest issue is Clement shows no tactical awareness, the players don't seem to work as a unit (either in defense or attack) and lessons are not learned. We all knew Tav was going to get roasted down his side, same on the left. If we don't have the better players, then we need to change the tactics to support (4-5-1, heck even Walter would play a 5-4-1 and hit them on the break).

For me, a different manager might not win these games, but we'd be far more competative.

His record, results and performances since Hearts at home in March is enough grounds for anyone else to be sacked.

But we know the problems run much deeper.

Realistically, if they sacked him, who would be up for the job?

It must be well known in football circles that we are a basket case.

Apart from getting a big payout at the end of 12 months, who could really be bothered with it?

Backing him until the summer regardless of results and performances.

We ain't winning the league and it's pointless sacking him now.

If there's no noticeable improvements by the end of the season then he has no excuse for when we call for his axing.

If that does happen then you'd hope Bennett and the Parks are no longer calling the shots and we have a credible CEO to find a successor.

His management skills are questionable and every game from now on will be a test of ability and character. Unfortunately the tools and I use that word broadly he’s got to work with are not the most reliable. I guess it’ll be make or break because no matter what the fans will only take so much.

Tight game or not the fans aren't caring now, how many different excuses given by different tarrier managers after pumpings or tight games back in the 90's, and it didnt matter

Fact is nothing will appease us the now because we've sunk so low, hell clement is even still getting it tight from fans for the cup final were arguably we were the better team, deserved the win and were undone by lack of quality

I’d be delighted if he was binned tomorrow, but happy to use him as a stop gap and get the house in order (e.g. CEO, DoF, DoA, stadium, and all the rest) and then replace him at the end of the season.

Ridiculous that we’re in this situation again a dozen games in, but we’re fucked as a club.

I can see your point, but i doubt fans can take bad results for so long. Imo if he does not change things in the next 1-2 months and we continue to drop points, attendance will drop significantly and he will either resign or be sacked.

Thing is I only see the bad results coming against them and maybe the sheep. Think he's capable enough in Europe and against the dross.
