He’s getting shots off early and making decisions. In the past he’s get into good positions but then fail to make a decision or make the wrong one.

We’re going to need him for the next few weeks at least

Seems like it mate.

Just have to hope he can sustain it & some of the other lumps can convert some of the chances he does make.

Clement putting the blame on the players and their intensity and willing to put in the effort.

Players obviously don’t want to play for the manager, but the majority of these players shouldn’t be at the club anyway.

We have to back the manager, but he’s not doing himself any favours either and is giving off the vibe of a guy who is in self preservation mode and already checked out.

What a mess.

Even if we brought in 2/3/4/5 players, I still fail to see what he’s trying to do. A rudderless ship from top to bottom. We resemble a club about to go into administration the way the board, the manager and the players are carrying themselves along with the fire sale of high earners. It looks like they’ve given up and we’re not even into August.

Imagine having a limited amount of transfer funds and spending it on players who aren’t first picks. Anyone who isn’t worried by this needs to wake up, or wake the rest of us up from this nightmare.

Aye, it feels like he's got one eye on the exit door and preserving his reputation. I cant say I blame him at all.

The whole club feels utterly toxic.

I actually said that tonight.

I think there’s an impasse as Clement is basically just waiting for a pay off.

And how bad was Tav's body language in that first half BTW.

Looks like he wanted to be anywhere but there tonight.

Was just coming back to this thread to enquire if he got forward at all tonight?

If he’s on about the players subbed at half time, he paid 4.5 million for one of them and let’s be honest, he was fucking terrible.

Can’t track runners

Caught on the ball

Dominated.

Tbh, Clement blaming players about shape issue is a cop out.

Add it to his list of excuses.

Which is ever building.

This only goes one way, unless the board have accepted the next couple of seasons as clearing the slate for a proper rebuild and havelittle expectation of him.

He need not ever mention Beales pre season again.

We look worse after he’s had a pre season.

The first half we were a shapeless mess, out of possession getting played off the pitch, in possession no composure inevitably back at Kelly to hoof it down the pitch.

Only difference in second half was Barron and Wright actually showed some fight, will excuse the academy players as they were thrown to the dogs.

He needs to change the system quickly and get something positive about the place as with players leaving there will be no hiding place if we start the season poorly.

This is the worst preseason we’ve had in recent memory.

Miles off it with no quality shining through to get you at least a wee bit more enthused, or even at the very least intrigued as to what could be.

Very concerning.

If that's what needs to be done so be it. We don't have an option at this point. Blame lies further up the chain from Clement I'm afraid.
