Would hope once up to speed Cerny offers some threat cutting inside.  Midfield wise, fair point, but maybe Diomande would offer more threat further forward. Hasn't got a great goalscoring record but looked like he had a decent strike on him early on.

Can't see Clement dropping Lawrence though tbh.

Especially as, despite a poor game overall, keeping him on meant he was finally able to contribute something meaningful to the equaliser…

Diomande hasn’t scored since February.

Cerny hopefully will but the lack of goals is going to be an issue for what seems like the umpteenth season.

We definitely need more goals around the team, but maybe with more control in midfield we'd create more chances, who knows.  Issue with Lawrence is the lack of legs, and I'd fear against the better teams in particular we'll get run over in midfield.  Think it would be worth trying it out, we're not exactly blessed with great options in there.

Not convinced Lawrence has shown enough to warrant sticking with him as the best/only option. Hopefully he improves on Saturday.

Concerns me that, while last night was clearly better, we look as though we’ll be good at grinding out an unexpected good result in a tricky Euro away tie, but we’re not nearly as convincing as we should be going forwards in a game we’re expected to win.

I would honestly put Hagi in Diomandes place at least to see if he is the answer.Im sure if the gaffer told him yours is the ten for the season he would want to stay and maybe save us buying a midfielder until next summer and spend the money on another needed position.
