Celtic, their fans and players now think Rodgers is working miracles when in reality what he's doing is managing a team with significantly more financial power than anyone else in the league. Who couldn't do that job? Wages and transfer fee for Sinclair is probably close to what our whole squad cost altogether All he's doing is what Deila should have been doing and that's winning the league at an absolute canter because they have the financial means to do so. A healthy, rich Rangers challenging them would really start to put pressure on them and we all know how Celtic cope with pressure... not very well. Good point about this coming from the English investigation, couple that with McCaffrey going through the Northern Ireland court system. This could just be what brings all to light regarding what went on at the Phedo Dome, they have no control of what could come out of both while leaving them and the SFA in tatters as they will try and limit what the public finds out in Scotland. Also they can now laugh off £10 mill for Tierney and £20 mill for Dembele due to 1 year in the CL...... Events will run throughout May culminating in a game between Henrik's Heroes and Lubo's Legends. Who of course were the two main men during the 1967 campaign. Reports passed to Operation Hydrant from the NSPCC's dedicated football hotline and from forces around the country have broken the 1,000 barrier, since setting up in December. Those referrals alone has risen by almost a quarter – from 819 – since just before Christmas, according to figures released by the National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC). The total number of potential victims now stands at 526, of whom 98 per cent are male – with an age range from four to 20. Coaches, some with links to Chelsea, Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Celtic, are among 184 suspects. But Chief Constable Simon Bailey, the NPCC lead for child protection, says Hydrant is beginning to see a decrease in the number of referrals being received via the NSPCC helpline and directly to forces relating to allegations of abuse within football, and other sports. He added: "Allegations of non-recent child sexual abuse are complex, and often require specialist skills and knowledge, and can take time to progress. However, all allegations and information received by police forces across the country are being acted upon. "We continue to urge anyone who may have been a victim of child sexual abuse to report it by dialling 101, or contacting the dedicated NSPCC helpline, regardless of how long ago the abuse may have taken place. "We will listen and treat all reports sensitively and seriously. Anyone with any information regarding child sexual abuse is also urged to come forward. "When allegations are reported it enables police to assess whether there are current safeguarding risks and ensure that appropriate action is being taken to prevent children being abused today." Funded by the Football Association, the NSPCC hotline was set up in early December and is available 24 hours a day on 0800 023 2642. The FA has also instigated an independent review, led by Clive Sheldon QC, into its handling of abuse allegations in the years prior to 2005. Responding to the latest football-related figures from Hydrant, an NSPCC spokesperson said: "It's clear that for far too long, hundreds of people who suffered abuse as youngsters in the game have not been able to speak up. "But it is encouraging that so many are finally finding their voice in a climate today where they know they will be listened to and supported.
