Ibroxblue 122
Former Rangers and Newcastle United defender Craig Moore has made a shock playing return only 12 days after undergoing an operation for testicular cancer. Moore, 32, took the field in Queensland Roar's 4-1 rout of the Perth Glory in the Australian A-League. The Australia international was diagnosed with testicular cancer early in November and underwent immediate surgery. He had told Roar coach Frank Farina that he wanted to be back playing within two weeks, but the swift return was unexpected. Hull City reserve keeper Matt Duke recently recovered from testicular cancer but took almost three months to return to the bench, while Millwall striker Neil Harris was ruled out for a similar timeframe after undergoing treatment in 2001. Ibroxblue 122
Craig in action: A familiar name on the score sheet as well: The Queensland Roar have posted their first home win of the A-League season, using the inspiration of an astonishing Craig Moore comeback and a brilliant Charlie Miller goal to defeat the Perth Glory 4-1 at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday evening. While Moore bravely skippered his side less than a fortnight after surgery for testicular cancer, Miller produced a 56th-minute goal that would have lit up any match around the world - putting the Roar three goals up and all but sealing the result. There seemed little immediate danger when Michael Zullo swung the ball in from the left-hand side, but Miller soon changed that with an unstoppable right-foot volley that beat a stunned Tando Velaphi in the Perth goal.... http://sportal.com.au/football-news-displa...for-moore-60949
Skol 401
http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/1790745/ Miller's goal is in that. Cracking strike. Not too sure about the facial hair...
