Let's be honest, the board have put their hands in their pockets at times.
However, they've consistently missed out on key opportunities to upgrade our squad at moments of strength. As mentioned in the initial post, post-55 and after CL qualification should have seen a significant improvement to the playing squad.
It's also worth noting that celtic appointed a good manager who had extensive knowledge of an excellent, untapped market. It's annoying as they basically lucked into it, given he clearly wasn't their first choice, but even with significant investment last year we'd still have been in a close title race, such was the level of improvement under Postecoglu and the players he brought in.

At best he can be an impactful squad player but he should be nowhere near the starting XI in big games like this.

You're probably right and I'm likely being too harsh in the heat of things. In saying that, he definitely wasn't causing the celtic defence too many headaches. Morelos' inability to run in behind means that, if you're a strong CB like Carter-Vickers, you're going to have a relatively easy day watching him play in front of you.

The cold, hard truth is that celtic are far ahead of us. It's not an impossible gap to close but any realistic Rangers fan would have said they were the favourites today.
Just like a young player, Beale is an inexperienced coach and will hopefully learn from this experience. He needs to make sure the wheels don't come off as there's plenty to play for - a Scottish Cup and making sure we end the league in the right manner so that we're set up for a better tilt at things next year.
The board absolutely need to back him, though. We're never going to get close to celtic with a midfield of Kamara and Lundstram.

This was the ideal game for Roofe. His movement and intelligence would definitely have unnerved them - particularly Starflet. Just so frustrating how injury-prone he is.

Vickers and Golson are the best two CHs in Scottish football by a long shot. You just happened to name the other one. No one else compares. I don't know how you can possibly think Goldson is not good enough.

It is total domination. They're by far the most dominant team and the better team for the past decade. Winning one league and a cup in that time doesn't move the dial towards us.
Winning trophies is now the exception for us and they cunts are on for another treble.

Will be two years into a three year deal come the Summer and we’ve had five good months from him at best. He’s had his chance now and he’s not going to make it. Any talk of a new deal needs tabled and we need to flog him back to the championship this summer.

You're missing the point.
The banner was a dig at Beale's comments on standards, meaning how we carry ourselves as a club, because the fannies who would prefer we get negative headlines about stopping games broadcast on Sky etc. rather than the praise the club's been receiving this week weren't happy with allowing the Partick goal.
Beale knows about the importance of trophies. Pointless dig the week before a cup final.
