Incredibly comfortable all afternoon and Livi didn’t create a thing. 
 
The decision to play pacey wide players in Sima and McCausland meant we could hit balls quickly in behind when we won possession back and before Livi could settle back into their shape. 
 
We also moved the ball forward much quicker than I can remember us doing in years. 
 
Clearly this is coming from Clement and this approach is going to be key to beating teams that park the bus. 
 
A thoroughly professional job and one that we’ll have completely forgotten by the end of the season. In short, exactly the sort of drama-free away performances we want. 

Looking forward to this. Taking my eldest on his first away day so added buzz for this one for me

I think people are missing the point that a manager always has to have a player that he appears to favour, despite the support being convinced he's hopeless.  It's the football law

His quality on the ball is more often than not, really poor. I’m certainly not a fan.
But, in fairness to him and Clement, he does actually put in a power of work, presses really well and is clearly tactically switched on in terms of performing a specific role off the ball.  
His dummy for Cantwell’s goal completely took out their defence and drew their defenders to him and not Cantwell

Thought the first half was outstanding and we could have been out of sight. The pressing and shape in particular were excellent. 
 
Unfortunately they score with their first real chance of the game, but overall I think we still edged the second half. We did lose control of the midfield somewhat but I put that down to probably being tired from putting so much into the first half and them naturally getting better. 
 
Some of our support btw are an embarrassment. The eejits around me were screaming abuse at players when we’re winning 2-0 and they’d been playing great. It was literally things like the first misplaced pass that was setting them off. No wonder some players struggle with confidence when they get fucking hammered for a minor mistake. 
 
Kudos to Goldson and Davies, who I thought were absolutely dominant all night long. Barisic had his most progressive game in forever and Cantwell was excellent before fading prior to his sub. I really liked what I saw from Macausland as well. 
 
Overall, a good result and for the most part a very professional performance. If we could bottle that first half intensity and attacking focus we’d be doing well.

I know it’s not exactly the most pressing thing in the world but it just sticks in my craw every time I hear that line. Plenty of us have daughters who are going to follow in our footsteps!
Anyway, that’s my moan for the night. I suppose it’s better to be annoyed at a song than a performance in a semi final so all in all life is good!

There is going to be bumps along the way, weve got to be prepared for that, it's how we respond to those disappointments that is key.
