Loaning players to lower league clubs, part time clubs never seems to work for us. It has to be clubs in our league or better but apart from McGregor and Adam 15 plus years ago I cannot think of any other loan benefitting other than getting rid of these potentials for pittances. Maybe loans to clubs in Holland,Belgium etc where there is a better football progression culture would be of more benefit for club and player.

The period of shareholders stumping up the difference between spending and income every year has ended, its was extended as we gambled to go for 55, but isn't sustainable, we have to live within our means, shortfalls being paid for by player sales and improved income, hopefully c/l cash.
Biggest concern for me is club 1872 itself, its a basket case, zero transparency and beset with infighting and egos, its own website was down when this was announced, highly indicative of the organisation, its  not fit for the purpose intended in its current format and would require a much higher calibre of leadership for this to get off the ground successfully.
If it ever gets round to holding elections it will be interesting to see who puts themselves forward, it needs to have a clear out with candidates who can unite and galvanise  the support  to build an organisation worthy of its remit. Cant see it having the proverbial snowballs chance of attracting the required numbers if it doesn't.

I think it is terrible news and a danger to the future of the club. We will need a lot of investment in the short term which current shareholders have promised to provide. However, we will certainly need investment in the future which may need outside investors and no wealthy businessmen would consider putting money into a club with a large fans shareholding never mind one with a majority shareholding by supporters. Monthly subscriptions will be a drop in the ocean compared to what will be needed to drive the club forward.

Clarke would get football stopped, I thought some of our stuff in Walters second spell with us was turgid particularly in Europe but this is new levels

This is getting out of hand. Shame for the young lad to lose his life but at this rate we'll be clapping the entire match soon and it loses any real sense of sentiment.
