He should not be immune from criticism. I dont think he knows his best eleven and has repeatedly made selection errors. That said you cant polish a turd. And the squad he has inherited is turd central.

Personally I thought Clement was slow in making changes. I'd have liked to have seen Sima moved central and brought Matondo on the left with instructions to run at Johnston who was on a booking for most of the game.
