I actually can't quite get my head around anyone saying the decision was correct.  Getting your body in between player and ball is an art and a way to win the ball fairly. 
If I'm a striker in the box and don't get my shot away straight away and the defender gets his leg in between my foot and the ball and nips the ball away from me after I kick his ankle, that's not a penalty.
If I'm a defender and the winger gets in behind me and we chase the ball back to the by-line and he tries to get round to whip it across, and I stretch my leg/body between him and ball and he kicks me, and I let it go harmlessly out for a bye kick, it's not a foul on him.  In fact, if I go down and the ball doesn't quite go out, I'll get that foul.

I'm fast losing/lost faith in Beale, mainly because I can't even see what he's trying to do, never mind the results and performances in big games.  That said, I can't understand any romanticising around GVB because we were absolutely awful under him as well and he left the club for damn good reason.

Nothing against him, but he's slow, predictable and without the baller skills to cover it up.  Never likely to be a difference maker in the long term and I've been known to voice that I think he steals a living off his family name.  Apart from that, he's alright.

The 2023 Thomas Buffel, plenty of shite games, got better the longer he was out.

Hagi is average at best, he spends the majority of the game getting knocked off the ball and landing on his arse, yes he has ability to play a pass with both feet but the odd glimpse of class isn't enough anymore, for me his time is up, if we can move him on for 3/4 million then I think that would suit all parties in the long run
