The disallowed goal

Recommended Posts

If by the laws of the game that’s a foul by Dessers it’s fucking ridiculous - is he just supposed to allow their player to kick the ball when it’s sitting there waiting to be taken?

Genuinely crazy.

If they got that goal chalked off for that and went on to lose there'd be uproar and calls for foreign refs, masonic bias, replaying the fucking game. And that would be from the club and ex players never mind the unwashed fan base.,

Would be on every single media outlet and every ex scum player would be going on about it until next league game.

Be surprised if it’s mentioned tomorrow, could be Beales final nail in coffin.

Just put this in another thread but might as well stick it in here as well.

His foot is not between the ball and defender. The defender arches his leg swing wide and kicks Dessers.

That is never a foul either legislatively or because of anything Dessers did.

Its pretty much obstruction, dessers doesn't play the ball but stops the opponent playing the ball

It's a fucking whitewash to take the pressure off the refs and the filth. The filth player kicks Dessers and don't give me shit about Dessers not 'being in control of the ball' - defenders do this every time to shepherd balls out of play and its always a foul if the attacker (in this case filth player) contacts them

It was extremely unlucky on Dessers and for us. The poor guy hasn't done much of note so far but his work to win the ball in that challenge and then lay it back to Roofe perfectly was superb play and deserved the goal it got. I am not one to complain about refs generally but that twat today had an absolute shocker. The fact that he watched that play and challenges back on video and arrived at the decision he did makes it much worse. A disgraceful shocking decision which completely changed the game, even though it doesn't take away from the fact Michael Beale is a rubbish manager.

The disallowed goal showed you exactly what’s wrong with our team

A team with a bit belief and character uses that injustice to spur them on and get properly stuck into those cunts. Instead it took the wind right out of our sails and made a scum goal before half time almost inevitable

We looked beat as soon as that was disallowed, doubly so after they scored.

Bollocks. Aye maybe for the rest of the half, but we were the better team second half despite them still being dangerous on the counter.

Completely different scenario, the defender is in control of the ball while he guides it out the park

Better team because they were backs to the wall, didn’t look like a team that had belief we’d still win and it showed
