Tav, Fod and Windass are a common denominator for a few seasons and just not good enough. Sure,  not bad guys, but over hyped to fuck in here. They are far from alone of course.
When you look across our squad for the standard of player needed to take a title, both in ability and mentality, there are very few you would keep and it needs another total rebuilding job.
Just who are saveable? From the whole squad, I can only see John, McCrorie, Docherty, Murphy, Cummings. Of that five, four offer potential. Thereafter, the rest can gtf, particularly the tea time favourites of the tea and scone brigade in here in Wes, Tav, Windass and Morelos. These four of the most over hyped and can do nothing wrong variety, are exactly the reason why we will win fuck all. They let you down when when it matters most.. Not one have the character, far less the ability to step up when the chips are down. Ah but two are our top scorers. Exactly, against fucking dross!
We need players of ability, of the right mentality who can dig deep.
It matters little how a manager sets up the team and tinkers week to week,  as a footballer with half a brain cell, you should have the ability to adapt and the commitment to get out there and just do it for the cause. A manager's tactics is no excuse for downing tools. That cunt Brenda is forever tinkering and changing formations, it's what he does, but the cunts still win the league at a canter, which says much about the ability and mentality of our lot. Our petulant lambs with petted lips bigger than a Kardashian's tits.
When you cross that white line you simply just take your position and get fucking into it and collectively, if you have the ability and mentality, you'll win. Sick to fuck with all this shite about Murty's formations and tactics. FFS, we are playing in a footballing backwater, scum aside, against teams that are literally littered with abject fucking dross and and not a fucking brain cell between them. It's not fucking hard!
We remain overburdened with mediocrity and players of the wrong mentality. It's not a new phenomena for us and the scum game only amplified what we already knew, unless you were one of the sorely deluded. We all knew what Murty was, so wtf did we really expect in taking over that mottley crew of over hyped chancers? He was never the answer and the scapegoating of him I find pathetic and repugnant and I don't even like the bastard. We are as bad as our player at times. Sensitive little lambs that have a God given right to win. Well we should have fucking thought about that when we elevated our career criminal to power.
We move on and our future is firmly in the hands of King, that other fucking chancer that some in here can't extract their collective tongues from his ring piece. All roads lead back to that cunt's door and hopefully most are now waking up to that fact.  Until he changes nothing changes and all the managers and players of mediocrity in the world that we again will bring in, will not change our fortunes.

That’s reflective of a lack of respect commanded by a manager rather than the players.

As the manager Murty bears the public face of what continues to be a very poor season with yet another very poor OF game / result.   He agreed to take the job until the end of the season so along with the opportunity it gave him come the brickbats when he is unable to produce winning sides and deep failings in his sides in OF games.   He will have known the risks when he agreed for a second time to step in after Pedro was axed but that does not tell even a portion of the story.   King, his board and the DOF effectively set him up to be the public face of failure if the side went on to have a bad finish to the season after Pedro was axed.   He's the patsy and he agreed to take on the risk of being the patsy.   His choice.  His responsibility.   His decision to be the buffer between the Support / the media and the Board.   His decision to take the hits when in fact it should be the negligence and incompetence of King and his DOF and his board that should be taking the real big hits after yet another shambles of a game which could yet result in a continued slump for the end of the season.
There is no way on this planet that Murty should still be manager next season.  No way.  If he is still manager then King and his board need to be held to account for gross dereliction of their duty as Rangers directors, as stewards of the Club.    Murty was and still is a learner manager.   He knew well in advance of games what was required from his sides, he spoke about it before games and yet he is singularly unable to instil the sort of way of playing that is needed to be properly effective in games.   It just does not happen under Murty. He is a Warburton clone.  He can analyse, he can say what he wants to happen he can convince himself that his team are training well and all that guff but when it comes down to actually getting his team to perform properly to their full capability right from the off in each game and for the whole game as a Rangers side should then he is unfortunately utterly unable to achieve this at this point in his managerial career.  I do not see in him a nature, a way of thinking, a reaction that encourages me to believe that he will learn to do so.   Some are made to lead and most are not.  He is not a leader.
He most certainly is not the calibre of managerial leader needed at Rangers. If King and his board cannot see that, or will not see that, then they are damning Rangers to spend a very very long time deep in the shadows of the other lot.   Uncorrected that will, in due course,  bring King down and ensure that he is written into history not as the saviour who rescued the Club from Green but as the ditherer with shallow pockets who was unable and unwilling to provide the sort of leadership and money to get the very best manager at Rangers and the very best players that can be attracted to the Scottish game.
Appointing Murty was a case of hope triumphing over experience.   King and his board hoped it would work, hoped it would glide them through to the end of the season.   Hoped that somehow Murty could show that Rangers had improved on last season and were on a good pathway for more improvement.
In pinning their hope on an L-Plate manager who is too weak to confront his players after a game like today (and not for the first time in recent times) and who is patently unable to set a team up properly to compete properly from the first whistle (again) King and his board are giving the Support exactly what is deserved by such weak and lily-livered board decisions..........a Rangers side that is recognisable only because it happens to wear a Rangers strip.  It is unrecognisable in every other respect.
The real issue is with King and his board for desertion in the face of need to appoint a proper football manager, and not in Murty who was given a sort of battlefield commission role and is just not up to it and just can't do it anywhere near well enough.   Whether these experiences will leave Murty as a far better prepared manager to take on future clubs or whether it scars him to the point where doing a good managerial job elsewhere becomes very difficult for him remains to be seen.   This board under King has a lot to answer for.  And so far it doesn't have any good answers.

Warnock/Clarke are the type of manager we should be looking at just now IMO but if we were to go down the foreign route again why not make an approach for Marco Silva?
Nearly performed a minor miracle last season by almost keeping a doomed Hull side up and had Watford flying until his head was turned by the Everton job.
Like MPH, he has won titles on the continent and will be looking to re-establish his reputation after Watford. Would be a much, much better appointment than Frank de Boer.

That seemed to me to be as about an underwhelming press conference as it gets.   The media treating him with kid gloves, Murty opening his soul - again - about him still learning and all that.   It gives him the 'out' to get a gentle ride from the journos as he comes over as just a bloke trying to learn the ropes and its a privilege to be given the opportunity to do so.    Its part of his defence to avoid a more probing or insistent set of questions as he'd be out of his depth in trying to deal with them and it'd show.
It's what we've been brought to by those in charge at Ibrox.  Appointing a rookie manager, a Mr Nice Guy, a guy whose happy to talk quite a bit about the privileges and what he has still to learn but it keeps the media away from trying too hard to get at him.    It really is a poor sign that media conferences like these at Rangers have sailed into nothingness waters of exploring how a rookie manager is coping with the pressures and what he is learning from his experiences.
In my view no fire from Murty, no fight, no steel.  None whatsoever.   Just a sort of acceptance that the past is the past and that he is learning and that he hopes the team can get back to winning ways.   It came over to me as an another underwhelming performance where it is hard to take comfort or derive confidence from what he is saying and how he is saying it.    Inspiring?   Not for me it isn't.  And if that sort of matter-of-fact type of style is how he approaches team talks then I can't see that it'd be all that inspiring for the team.

I wanted it to work with Murty, I really did. He's obviously a very decent guy and has bought into being a part of the ethos of the club.
I do believe he is a very decent coach but there's many good coaches who don't cut it as a first team manager, unfortunately he is another example.
I hope he goes back to working with the youth setup after all this as I do think he is an asset.
The most obvious thing about the whole situation is that he's been set up as a patsy by this corrupt and inept board and it's incompetent CEO and management team.
It's a huge frustration that so many of the rank and file of our support cannot see what seems blindingly obvious that King and his cronies are bad news and they are failing on just about every measurable level.
I don't blame Murty, I have no doubt that the man is doing everything within his power to do the best for the club. The blame lies with those that put him in a position he was unqualified and unsuitable for. And they did this to deflect criticism from themselves and likely to save a few bucks at the same time.
