We have the January window coming up.
I think this title race is going to be close,  lots of people seem to think they are just going to start running away with the league now, but at the end of the day we have played pretty much the same amount of games as them, and we are less than a game swing of being top of the league.   We could win this league this season if we keep it close,  I think we are going to be an interesting 2019 anyway.

Our striking options are horrific minus Alfredo

We do take defeat pretty fucking badly. Nothing wrong with that.
The personal shit does go ottt though and I'm guilty as well.
I keep thinking we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory last night. Bastards were there for the taking, but such is our lot.
Some of those with better ability do lack the mentality, whilst others with the mentaility just simply lack the ability. Like Flanagan. Has the mentality but utter pish.
Young manager learning the ropes, tries to do the balancing act and gets it wrong. Not entirely unexpected, because  even the best of them get it wrong regularly.
The players are what they are. They don't purposely go out to make a cunt of it, but that's where the mentality comes and some do the shrinking violet act.
It is obvious we are still short on the mentality and ability stakes. I'd say 3/4 quality players away and it will have the knock on to those with less ability and assist them in stepping up.
We have big expectations, as we have waited so long to get back to where we belong. Utterly frustrating and some results are just a kick in the bawz.
I still have confidence that we will get there sooner than later. We have seen this squad on song and what we can do with what is a pretty average bunch, but average just don't get us the consistency and every team in the land doubling down, doing their utmost to stifle us. A bit more guile and quality we will kill them all.
Patience is not a virtue amongst our support, but it's going to take that to avoid greater disappointment.
As bad as some players can be, they are all we have got for NOW. They want to win. Stevie wants us to win. It will come and we will all be fucking grinning like Cheshire cats and I can wet the pampers as the rest of Scottish football go on fucking suicide watch.

I think he starting to realise that his players just aren’t up to the pressure of playing for Rangers. 

An OG, huge deflection, and 2 moments of comical defending are not Gerrards fault.
A disallowed goal 2yrds onside is not Gerrards fault.
Players let him down.
 
 

We had a decent bit of form early doors so the fans got overexcited thinking we were “there”. 
Gerrard has us moving in the right direction.

To be in a cup final
to not be 4th in the table at Halloween
 To be able to beat Livingston, Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and celtic.
Teams with far less backing, finance, stature can offer that, why can’t Rangers?

Managers been in just over 26weeks its remarkable the job thats been done so far

Didn't feel we did that much wrong last night, except put the ball in the back of the net. Thought we played some silky stuff in the first half, but just couldn't score. The final ball in was fucking horrendous. Mo done well and was well pissed off at the end. 
We lack that midfield general and dare I say another super Ally or a Hateley. I could say a Gazza, but we will never see his like again.
Great opportunity missed I feel. Work in progress and a couple of players of quality needed.
BTW. Kent is a fuckng player!

It takes new players time to settle, gel, get used to size of club, expectations blah blah. We've also had a harder start than most of our real competitors.
At times, we show what we're capable of. We've overachieved in the EL. At times we've played really poorly. Enough said. We also dropped 2 points in the sheep which imo we were cheated and robbed.
If you had the expectation we were going to win the league then I understand your disappointment. If you expected some inconsistencies and knew it would be a bumpy ride this season then less so. I still reckon we'll finish season significantly better than last season. Good progress to build on.
But my main point is we can't keep investing in a manager and new squad then look to do it all again next window. And the next. And next. Patience is needed, as long as there's strong progress in the bigger picture. I think there is, I guess for some though there's less longer termism, more thinking it'll all come easy.
At least 2 rounds of fixtures will show us a clearer picture. 2nd half of season needs to be stronger than 1st half. Anything before that in terms of even contemplating a change in manager is ridiculous.

It's ok to reflect on mistakes, fortunately today didn't cost us. But he needs to think clearly before the game and use foresight too, it's a huge part of selecting the team.
Starting with so many players at once who have been injured out of the picture is asking for trouble.

I thought we were absolutely brilliant tonight. Didnt think a single player let us down. The work ethic from kick off was fantastic, closing down all over the pitch.
When reading the match thread, I could not actually believe the shite that people were spouting. Here are a few examples :-
"Worrall starts lol. Must be something ridiculous in his contract if he starts after that shambles on Sunday. Questions have to be asked of the manager now if this continues and Worralls form also continues" - Worrall has been fine so far. He was no worse than anyone else at the weekend. The mistake at the weekend was the formation. Asking questions of the manager? Seriously. People need to get a grip.
"tav is utter pish so far,he's pish anyway full stop." - He is our captain, one of our most consistent performers and one of the biggest creative influences in the team.
"Ejaria is fucking rubbish", "Arfield is fucking pish" - Two different posters having a go at two of the guys who absolutely ran the show today. Our midfield totally dominated the game. Arfield pressed like fuck, as did Ejaria who also won a shit load of challenges and played some wonderful stuff.
"Kent is shite against decent players." - He has been one of our best players so far this season! He actually looks better against decent players IMO.
"We are fucking abysmal and it's worrying." - Just after we conceded, so understandable, but still, we had bossed the game and they scored an offside goal. We were hardly 'fucking abysmal' at that point in the game.
"Guys an accident waiting to happen and Goldson is no much better. Katic is better than both of them." - Talking about Worrall when the score was 1-1. Guy had been brilliant so far in the match.
"Tav is just not good enough I'm afraid" - The hatred some fol have for Tav is actually getting creepy.
"This team are Pish, we should be destroying them" - They are a decent European team, playing them down does us no favors.
"We're looking like a pub team out there tonight." - What the actual fuck?  
"It's been pitiful again tonight tbh" - Just before we got the penalty...
"We're pish" - Just before we got the penalty...
Dont get me wrong, there was more praise and more constructive criticism in the match thread than the utter drivel posted above, but fuck me it doesn't half  ware you down.
I think there is a genuine problem with the expectations that some of the support have. Its just fucking nonsense. Its like some folk actually are not happy unless they are being negative about the team.

Yes the result against the scum was a fucking hard one to take, but you know what, after all the dust has settled, I'm not feeling that bad. In fact I'm back to being chuffed. I would have been more chuffed of course had we won.
I'm chuffed to fuck that we still have Stevie G at the helm. I'm chuffed to fuck that we are in Europe after all the disappointment and despondency of the last six years.  I'm chuffed to fuck that I'll be able to walk down Edmiston Drive to watch our team take to the field on a European night, freezing my bollocks off in comtemplation of a victory as winter sets in. Go back a few months and just no one thought it would be happening right here, right now.
Gerrard is no loser and he will take on board all the learning from that game. Yes he has gotten things wrong and he will in future, but he is only human, and if anyone will learn from his mistakes, it's him. Yes he's young and inexperienced, but he is one clever guy who's been there, seen it and done it at the highest level as a player with a winning mentality second to none. I for one remain to have every faith in him.
Yes the scum are cock o the walk at the minute, but I am so very confident, there time is coming to an end and it will be Gerrard who removes the head of that bheast.
Gerrard is not here to play second best to no one  and King didn't bring him here to be second best to no cunt after spending his money! . A pretty penny has been spent and yes we could be doing with a bit more quality, but we're not far off it. More will be spent.
Sure we all love our rants on our favourites and not so favourite players and by fuck don't they get in the neck when we drop points. It is RM after all! Not much wrong with it tbh and most not really meant.
Of course my not so favourite is Morelos. He just drives me fucking mad. I just want him to score goals. I don't give one fuck how much running he does. Not all his fault of course as service at times aint the best. I want him realising his potential now! I'm not big on patience. No laughing at the back. I want him to succeed, but the quicker the better for me before I choke him! 
We've now also got Halliday stepping up and I'm pleased. Others may not agree, but we do need him at this time and he's doing alright.
Our funds are still limited compared to the scum, but the basic ingredients are there for the first time and the scum are there for the taking. Much contemplation for Gerrard on how to take them after Sunday, but he will do it.
So in summary, I say fuck the scum, forget about them. It IS still all about us, no matter their rhetoric and we ARE coming to get them and they know it and I take great pleasure in that I know it, despite our defeat.
Our journey back continues, but never in the past six years have I felt such pride. The despondency is gone and the positivity is back, despite my rants. I do struggle with losing!  The spring remains in my step despite this latest set back, because there will be no stopping Stevie G until his train arrives at the station and that title is in our possession.
Fuck the scum, FTP, fuck the media and fuck SNPira. We are coming for you al!

We crave instant success and second is nowhere in Scotland (when you are us). However, I believe in what Gerrard has done so far for us and it would be nice going in to next summer’s window (or even January) with a solid base and not thinking we need to start again. It statistically is the worst start since 1989 but it doesn’t feel like that despite the dropped points. Challenging immediately was stretching (not unlikely) but the income the EL gives us allows us more scope to bring in better quality when not starting again. If it doesn’t improve then he’ll be under massive pressure like all managers but we need to support the club and him and get back to the positive attitude we’ve had before yesterday. We need to wait until the next run of fixtures e.g. next 5/6 games that should bring maximum points if we’ve any desire to progress and challenge.
