Standard tabloids - their shovels must be worn out from all the digging they do to try and unrest us. A few days before an Old Firm as well...shocker.

The question should be asked of King and Robertson as to why a scouting network does not already exist.  The subject was identified as a problem before the King Board took control.   McParland was recruited and has now left - did he leave having done insufficient work to create a scouting network?   
If we really still do not have a fully functioning, or nearly fully functioning scouting network after all the time this Board has had, and after all the time Robertson has had, then I suggest this is a significant failing.   The Board, and the MD, should have set specific targets to be accomplished for building a scouting network.  If they have not done so or if they have rested on the work of a single McParland flying solo and with no legacy to leave behind of a network in place or part-built then it really should be Robertson and King that are called to account. 
Whatever the budget to be made available to a new DOF for scouting and recruitment purposes if he is starting from scratch then imo it is act of mismanagement and rank poor direction by Robertson and King for allowing it to happen.  

I think a DOF is just putting a plaster on the problem too.
We need a strong manager at the moment not more hierarchy that people can blame when things don't work.

I particularly like how he plays a fast attacking game , the opposite of that possession based game we have watched the last 2 seasons. 
Finally we might start seeing attacking football 

The ruination of a manky treble and chalking up a defeat for them would be the absolute boost this whole club needs.
We are at the crossing our fingers stage,which is not right.

I hope we set up to defend and hit on the break.  A 4-5-1 with MOH up top and use that pace to our advantage.  Realistically we're getting fuck all from this game in any case.

It was £420  when Mark posted on here (25 donations)  
Since then (April 30th 2016), the donations have been as follows:
£3,743 in Anonymous donations.  A large chunk of this will definitely be Bears - including a large number of Bears from here who just didn't read the instructions before making their donations to the various fundraisers we've had. 
 
£16,790 - raised from non-Rangers sources.  Such as responses to local news articles, fundraising by Mark's local community (including £4000 from their fun day) and a multitude of various other sources.  There's even a respectable amount of unsolicited donations from our good friends across the city.

(note: a large, but unknown proportion of that £17,210 will actually be from Bears, but if they didn't put a Rangers reference in their message, or donation name, and I didn't recognise it, then I counted it as non-Rangers.)
  £16,449 - raised directly or indirectly from Rangers-family sources.  Some of this is from FF members, RangersRadio listeners, and other Rangers-family groups, but the overwhelming majority is unambiguously as a result of  this here thread, and the continued efforts of those who frequent it.
  Total raised to date: £37,402 That's not a bad start.  Now we can start moving on to phase two. I'll update you all on what exactly that is once it's a bit further along.

Eck's time here is criminally underrated on here.
He came up with the plan to tear apart the system with which O'Neill was dominating Scottish football.
He won more trophies than O'Neill did in less time and on a fraction of the resource.
He got us through the group stages of the Champions League.
Were there downsides? Sure. But he done an excellent job for the majority of his time here.

McLeish fucked it in his final season here finishing 3rd which was atrocious given the quality of the players we had compared to the rest bar the tims. 
The years before that he had done wonders domestically and even that season in the CL getting through the group stages. Not many Rangers managers have won trebles and that alone was a great achievement especially up against the best tim side in years boasting Larrson, Hartson, Sutton and the likes.
I don't think he is nearly as bad as some make out and likewise I don't think he's an amazing manager either. He done more right than wrong at this club and working under a downsizing period gave us some incredible moments....and a horrible one too.
All in all he was a very good Rangers manager IMO, not one for the long term now though.

As much as I have no time for the board, he was underperforming and they obviously thought so too so when given an inch they took a mile and rightly got rid of them.
No hard feelings towards Mark and Davie though from me, Ally was an embarrassment in charge and they came in and gave us our pride back as well as a win over the manks whilst in a division below them. It just wasn't to be long term.

Yeah I suppose this is true. 
Like i said the possibility of DeBoer excites me but I really don't want more side ways stuff with no end product. Possession between Wes, Tav, Wallace, Kiernan, Wilson, Hill and or Senderos trying to pass their way out of trouble around the 18 yard box does not constitute good possession regardless of the stats at the end of the match. I'm desperate, as is everyone else, for some exciting, creative, quick football that will take us from one side of the pitch to the other in 4/5 passes ending up with at least a shot on goal. 

We are a complete and utter shambles from top to bottom.

Don't get me wrong I thought he needed to go, just find it sad seeing things unfold like this 

I bought a ticket for a mate who will be celebrating 21 Years Sobriety tomorrow as a gift and we are going to the game together. I will be deliriously happy with a good performance and  3 points..But will be even more ecstatic if MW and the current team of diddies don't drive the both of us back on the bevvy...

Anyway prelimanary reports indicate Kilsyth St John numbering 39 in the grand lodge Scotland have proudly raised £1275 pounds, minus a frame for the Ally McCoist limited edition print, for young Joushua.
@mark adair it blows me away that 70 guys can come together without knowing you or your family to raise money for Joushua. I hope you reach your target soon.
Note that £400 of that total was raised as a result of prizes donated by @govanblue you deserve an MBE my friend for everything you do for charity. I hope to meet you at some point to thank you in person.

Have had a reply from Sheffield hospital via Joshua's consultant stating they do not do thi VEPTR operation when they advertise it on the NHS hospital web site so was not very happy. Then we received a phone call yesterday from Sheffield hospital booking josh in for a consultation with the VEPTR team ? What the hell is going on with everything I do it's just a pure battle. 10 of February so let's hope the team exists lol. 

I'd be hesitant to play Tavernier after his performance at tynecastle last time. But he was superb yesterday, used his strength and speed well and there wasn't any issues defensively that I can remember so I reckon he'll play

No point in over-reacting in terms of the result but we've learned nothing we didn't already know about this squad.
They're simply not good enough, not physical enough and major investment is needed if we want to win the league and get a run in Europe.

His pace alone gives him a chance. Actually done well to compose himself, cut inside, look up and make the pass. Just under hit it though. Unlucky. Would be foolish to loan him out IMO. No world beater but can defo help us given the chance IMO...........
