I usually avoid the Bears Den after a defeat or draw, as the meltdown some people have is borderline embarrassing.

Yes but if Klopp calls it quits next year Gerrard is looking at the possibility of someone else being appointed and knocking it out of the park at Liverpool. One more year suddenly becomes seven or eight years. That’s his calculus.

Ima ruin the mood and kill the fuck out the vibe here and tell you what it means to me.
The last year has been shite. Utter shite. We have all took a battering with covid.  She lost her mum this year and the weans will be too young to even remember her. Buried my wee granny at a time where nobody could even come and pay their respects. Lost my uncle, a work colleague to covid and only this week we lost a proper good bluenose/former mason in the family.
The rest of us picking up the pieces are all season ticket holders. Like most of you, we never batted an eyelid at forking out for the ST this year despite everything knowing we wouldn't see a game in person. And despite all the shite we have had to eat this year, every Rangers goal was celebrated like it was the most meaningful. Every win closer to 55 made us all happy and for a wee moment, just forget the bad stuff. It sounds cheesy as fuck but I honestly think Rangers played a big part of healing all of us. So this season meant everything to me. When people look back on this last year or two they will talk about it being the year we all stopped. I'll talk about it as the year we started and the year we took back our place.

Wanted to share my only experience about Fernando  on here.
It was in 2005 when Rangers FC trained and played in Toronto in Canada. they played at the sky-dome in Toronto vs Dinamo Zagreb ( a young Luka Modric) was playing that day also.

afterwards me 14 years old ran down to the makeshift tunnel entrance to land a few signatures and meet my idols. ( I really wanted to shake Barry Fergusons hand & Nacho Novo ( I did both by the way) & gave Nacho my scarf.

I was star struck meeting our captain Mr Ferguson I adored him and idolized him.
Novo was class shook my hand and gave me a hug and took my scarf.

The guy beside me drops his scarf and who picks it up. Fernando does ! but he doesn't give it back he puts it on around his neck walks into the tunnel
I remember the guy beside me saying its a very special scarf to him and had it for years etc etc. few minutes later Fernando comes out with the scarf & the match worn shirt he gives both to the guy says hello and was just genuine. That memory has stuck with me since then. just wanted to share it in remembrance to him,  He was class !

    rest well Fernando

He done *exactly* what we needed him to do today - fill a position on the bench due to the injury to Jones (ahead of him in the pecking order, imo), then come on and do a job for us.
He filled that bench position, came on and scored a very decent goal.
I can't complain one jot about that, especially with our first teamers being somewhat shy on the shooting/scoring side right now - fair play to the guy.
