Would be good to see him back. One player who liked to have a dig from distance. I had money on him bagging a few screamers this season before he got crocked. A midfield with Lawrence, Tillman, Raskin and Cantwell sounds sexy. 

He's not likeable. He comes across as a guy who knows his way around corporate speak and schmoozes his way from job to job, up the ladder. 
He also looks like Nick Cave going out as Johnny Bravo for Halloween.

If Beale plays Kent after that display on Sunday its going to sink in to me that Beale's a soft touch and cares to much about friendships. Beale really needs to start being more ruthless with this squad. This squad of players will get him sacked and that's facts.

Frankly, as the left-wide man in the front 3, I would go for Matondo for Sunday and then the SF, may not be the greatest, but will at least give us directness and pace. The ability to get balls in behind defences.   Kent can finish his Rangers career on the bench as far as I am concerned. 

What Beale can do is limited to the tools at his disposal. He is being diplomatic with his players and trying to build confidence in them. He has walked into a lot of dross, players who are past it, players who are not trying any more, injury prone players and players who are just not good enough. He needs time to move on these players and get his own in. With RW out of the selecting and buying process this may work for him. I think he needs 2 windows minimum if we have a small turnover of players, but if he can shift 6 to 8 this may free up money and gaps in the squad for better players. Going forward; the positions that will be improved on will depend on what players are in the market and what we can afford. He has his work cut out, I wish him well.

Ajax’s biggest problem with Bassey is that he’s a left back not a centre back 
They needed a left back and a centre back but signed Wijndal to play left back and Bassey as their centre back 
He did a good job for us at centre back but it was never his position, particularly at Ajax where they want him spraying the ball about which was never his game 
Media and taigs will slate him endlessly and try to use it as a way to devalue our players in future. In reality it was just bad business by Ajax, he was IMO worth that money to someone as a left back but he’s not the player they were looking for at all and I’ve no idea why they signed him as a centre half.

I don’t think I’ll ever be in a place where I can accept that we have to play second fiddle to the Tarriers. They undoubtedly have more money than us at the moment and to be fair appear to be much better run. However, if our mindset is to think that it’s good enough to just hang on to their coat tails then we’re fucked. It’s only 18 months ago that they were in a worse position than we are now. That shows how quickly things can change. They have bought shrewdly and from market’s that we should also be exploring. If perspective means bending over and taking up the arse, then we’re fucking done for. As for the manager, play your best players and for fuck sake have a go. And finally, as a club and including board, management, players and supporters, there is only one place that we should aspire to and that is number 1. Anywhere else is for losers. 

Beale thinking he is the messiah when it comes to Kamara. The player has mentally checked out for over a year because he wanted to leave. Granted he played his best football under Gerrard and Beale, but Beale even thinking he could get half that player back is completely naive and now he’s thrown him right under the bus with numerous performances culminating in that yesterday in a cup final no less.

The ex Rangers Scottish pundits feel absolutely fine slagging off and giving abuse to the likes of Morelos and other foreign players/managers.
But when it’s the likes of McGregor, Davis, Arfield, Jack etc… they keep their mouth shut because they are their mates or are probably worried they might run into them on the TV circuit soon; whereas they think Alfie probably can’t understand what they said so feel confident enough to slag him off at every opportunity.
