About 4 years ago at work a Tim had convinced himself of their new reality with Rodgers.
Slowly building their way into the European elite. A machine finding talent and selling it on for 1000% profit that had transcended Scotland and would soon be invited into a Super League (!) or the EPL leaving us 'hunz' behind. 
They figured after Rodgers left they'd be so far ahead and rich that football elite legends such as Messi would want to take their final years there to get some finale CL games, and managers of only elite calibre would take over.
The new stadium was only a few seasons away, of course - a 90,000 seater that would rival the world elites. 
The whole ramble was fantastic. 
 Honestly deluded themselves for near a decade. 
You can see why the collapse has broken them.
