Really happy with that. A good solid away performance, not without a couple of nervy moments but we did the job.
All three goals were lovely too, Pena gets some stick but he was where we needed him to be at the right time tonight.
Nice to get our second clean sheet of the season too.

Absolutely agree, just when you consider where they were, as you say, 10 years ago Scotland should be ahead of them. Can't criticise how they've performed in the last 3 qualifiying campaigns. To top a group involving Croatia, Ukraine and Turkey is quite something!

33 different European countries have qualified for Euros and WCs since 98. This includes the other home nations and rep of ireland and footballing powers such as Slovenia, Bulgaria, Albania, Hungary, Iceland and my personal favourite Latvia. I would also argue there will be a couple more before Scotland gets back.
When you look at the two teams Scotland were up against the only thing that makes Scotland's squad better than Slovenia and Slovakia is that people see these players more. Slovakia for me have a better first 11 than Scotland if you consider where some of there guys play their football.
Then there is Slovenia who they are nip and tuck with pretty much but they also have Illicic playing at Atalanta, Kampl at Leipzig and Oblak at Atletico which is a much higher level than any of Scotland's players play at and that includes the players that play in the EPL.
I think it's down to culture and a lot of apathy. I think when a Snodgrass or a McArthur go down there to a Hull or West Ham or Crystal Palace they think they've made it. The last guy off the top of my head to move to a top EPL team was Alan Hutton and that was 10 years in January.
Scotland can qualify for a tournament in the short term if they stop appointing simpletons as manager. The last good manager they had was McLeish and then Smith before him.

I don't hate Scotland and most people don't hate Scotland.  They hate the Scottish national team, there's a big fucking difference.
Conparing us to cunts that abandoned their own country to go and play for a foreign country is just fucking idiotic.
Im a proud scot and a proud brit.  What I'm not proud of is some of my so called fellow countrymen. A support that think it's acceptable to boo their own players simply because they play for Rangers. A support that think it's acceptable to make banners and flags showing their hatred at their own players simply because they play for Rangers.  Fact is the tartan army is a closed book, it's a nationalist Rangers hating pile a shite.  Fuck them.
Not to mention the national team is ran by Rangers hating scumbags.

New Zealand retained their Rugby Championship by demolishing Argentina with their reserve squad and also along the way destroying South Africa 57-0 and going to Australia and putting 50 points past them. Even the Wallabies giving the game of their lives in New Zealand wasn't enough to stop them. The All Blacks are so fucking scary it's unreal.

No idea why they sold Gregoritsch to a rival. Problem is Wood is isolated up front and the 3 who play behind him don't get forward enough to support.
They had a young Japanese boy at LW yesterday, Ito, who looks a player. Kostic is out for a while so he looks more than enough of a decent replacement.
The good thing is HSV look better than Mainz, Bremen, Freiburg and Köln. I'm sure they will stay up.

The same McInnes who got his side to finish 9 points ahead of our own club as well as two cup finals with a fraction of the budget we had and this was before we spent 8 million?
It's easy to look at one game and say "look he's shite" but his overall record up there is fantastic.

Going forward I would agree and having a good striker has helped. I'd argue our midfield is stronger to. However, the main underlying issue throughout Warburton's time was the defence and that remains under Pedro
It's all good having better general play but if you can't shut a game out we will, and have, drop stupid points. It could be the issue as to why he hasn't won three games on the bounce!
