Going forward I would agree and having a good striker has helped. I'd argue our midfield is stronger to. However, the main underlying issue throughout Warburton's time was the defence and that remains under Pedro
It's all good having better general play but if you can't shut a game out we will, and have, drop stupid points. It could be the issue as to why he hasn't won three games on the bounce!

The defence is rank rotten. The obvious stat to back this up is the amount of goals we have conceded this season (10) which is 1 less than this time last season and we conceded 5 in one game by this point. Factor in the chances you brought up and the 1 clean sheet we've had this season (same amount after 7 games in 16/17) it doesn't seem to have improved at all.

There's a further factor not many take into account and that's the premium we pay players in salaries. Alwsys have. I'd say due to scrutiny, exposure, demands, expectations, etc.
We are renowned for paying more for players when they come here than at previous clubs.  Much of the spl pay a grand or so per week. Out with us, the bheasts and the sheep it's generally a maximum of 2 or 3 pw.
I would imagine the likes of a MOH was on a couple of grand pw tops at St J and likely doubled or trebled that when coming to us.
My point here is that he doesn't become 2 or 3 times the player. If you then replicate that throughout the squad then it's soon obvious we pay more for the privilege of having a player, than is necessarily reflected in the footballing benefit from that player coming here.
Simplistcally, imo, if we signed every player at say the sheep, we'd probably pay at least double what they do for the exact same squad.
This isn't justifying or excusing anything. Just thought I'd raise it in a thread where many are comparing clubs salaries.

The same McInnes who got his side to finish 9 points ahead of our own club as well as two cup finals with a fraction of the budget we had and this was before we spent 8 million?
It's easy to look at one game and say "look he's shite" but his overall record up there is fantastic.

Aberdeens wage bill to June 2016 was £6.2m (No figure up to 2017 available yet)
Our wage bill at the same time was £6.1m, increasing to £10m last season.
celtic were spending £32m on wages last season.

I will never ever understand these bitter bastards. They have won 6 titles in a row, treble winners, have two years of CL money burning a whole in their pocket and tomorrow night they play one of the most exciting teams in Europe at home and this is what they care about. It doesn't matter how well their horrible little club is doing or how much of a shambles we have been for 5 years (partly down to decisions made in 2012) this is still the rhetoric.
I'm glad to see other clubs who I did not expect (hibs) coming out and saying let's put this shit to bed. I'm sure there will be more clubs coming out over the next few days!
For me this just feeds into their inferiority complex when it comes to us. They know they have skeletons in the closet that will be revealed sooner rather than later, and this is just another distraction. I think what really creeps them out  and keeps them up at night is that we are closing in on them on the park and that at some point will not be the best team in the country anymore.
The day we win 55 will be the greatest day of my life!

I know how you feel, trust me, I used to be staunchly proud to be Scottish, very proud, before I got into politics and economics I used to proudly boast of this country and its achievements, but all of that changed soon as I got to understand politics and economics, it opened my eyes not only to how ill informed people are especially on the subject of economics.
I remember the first video I put out there in mid 2011 as to why I would vote no to Scottish independence I got heaps of abuse, death threats, even for my defence of Margaret Thatcher, that's when I realised my place, I was not welcome here any longer. Ever since all of that and becoming more and more bitter towards these people I have felt less and less pride in this country, my face does not fit in with this anticapitalist hating country, it really does not.
It's that bad in Scotland that as soon as someone finds out you support capitalism you are all of a sudden viewed as the devil, that's what decades of political indoctrination by mainstream media and government education creates and now I can barely bring myself to support Scotland, for someone who used to be staunchly proud of Scotland I no longer hold that feeling.

I'm going to the game against Malta as I say only because a friend bought me a ticket, he's a Hearts fan which is fair enough, but deep down I'm thinking in my head: "I'm really going to have to fake celebrating if Scotland scores, how come I don't feel anything but distaste and hurt." In fact it's at that stage I would feel good if Scotland were thumped, that's honestly how they've made me feel.

That guy is a fanny. He would be hated by everyone of the tartan army. That lot would probably rather Rangers suffer than Scotland qualify for a tournament.
As for the team itself I can't watch or support them anymore because it's basically watching sellik now. Deep down I want all scottish sports team to do well because I am scottish and british, but the football team is finished for me now. Even if the team wasn't filled with taigs i wouldnt support them because it represents the type of people that I am not in sync with. The nationalists make you feel less scottish everyday.

I'm all for giving managers chances but two things just don't sit quite right with me when it comes to Pedro. 1) His results in big games have been pish. Take away the 3-0 at pittodrie we have suffered a deflating 2-0 defeat in a semi against celtic which was followed up the very next week by our worst result at home ever to them. Losing at home to Aberdeen for the first time in 25 years and then tonight. 2) Doesn't Pedro just seem like a manager the taigs would have picked up in the 90s?
